Christina Hall Sparks Buzz With Ant Anstead Comment Amid Divorce Drama
Christina Hall is making waves on social media, and this time, it’s not just about home renovations. The HGTV star recently stirred up Instagram with a cheeky response that reveals more than just her thoughts on a fan’s comment.
In the comment section of a recent post, a fan suggested that bringing Ant Anstead back to the show in place of her estranged husband, Josh Hall, could boost ratings. “How awesome would it be to have Ant replace Josh on The Flip Off? Ratings would go through the roof. If it happens, I need some credit. Lol,” the fan wrote.
Christina’s reply? A playful, “LOL that would be a genius ‘ratings’ idea just sayin.”
This comment might have surprised many, considering Christina and Ant’s history.
Christina and Josh, who filed for divorce from Christina on July 15, were initially set to star together on the upcoming competition series, The Flip Off. The show was planned to feature the couple facing off against Christina’s ex, Tarek El Moussa, and his new wife, Heather Rae Young. However, multiple sources confirm that Christina is now filming with Tarek and Heather alone, leaving her in need of a new partner.
The news comes amid recent social media activity where Christina re-followed Ant Anstead and liked a photo of their son, Hudson, 4. While Christina has reconnected with Ant on Instagram, Ant does not follow Christina and is currently focused on his new relationship with Renee Zellweger.
Christina and Ant’s relationship began at the end of 2017 and they married in a surprise backyard ceremony in December 2018. They welcomed Hudson in September 2019 but split a year later. Their divorce was finalized in June 2021, following a contentious custody battle over Hudson, including disagreements about social media photos.
Despite their separation, Christina and Ant have managed to co-parent Hudson effectively, maintaining joint legal and physical custody as per their 2021 agreement. Christina lives in Newport Beach, California, while Ant splits his time between Laguna Beach and the U.K., where Zellweger is filming the fourth Bridget Jones movie.
Christina, who also shares daughter Taylor, 13, and son Brayden, 8, with Tarek, is set to reunite with her ex on The Flip Off, scheduled for a 2025 debut. Meanwhile, Ant has two older children, Amelie, 19, and Archie, 17, from his first marriage.
