Kristen Doute Reveals Stassi Schroeder Didn’t Congratulate Her On Engagement
Kristen Doute is growing apart from former Vanderpump Rules co-star, Stassi Schroeder. During an October episode of her podcast Balancing Act with her fiancé Luke Broderick, Kristen opened up about how things have changed between her and Stassi. After being close friends for more than ten years, the two reality stars seem to have drifted apart.
Kristen revealed that she hasn’t heard from Stassi in a while, even after getting engaged. “I have not heard from Stassi,” she said.
The last time they spoke was reportedly when Kristen wished Stassi a happy anniversary, but since then, their communication has been limited to just that brief exchange of kind words.
Despite this growing distance, Kristen holds no ill will toward her former friend and said she is okay with it. “I have a lot of love for her and for her family… We have a lot of history, and she used to be like a sister to me,” she added.
Although the friendship has cooled off, Kristen simply wishes her the best. “Sometimes friendships don’t last. That’s it. People just grow apart,” she shared.
Interestingly, Kristen’s fiancé, Luke Broderick, mentioned that he’s never even met Stassi, even though he and Kristen have been together since 2022. Luke proposed to Kristen on September 4 while filming the upcoming season of The Valley. Kristen excitedly shared the engagement news on Instagram with a series of adorable photos of the two on a boat, captioning it, “I’m wrapped around your finger like this ring I’m wearing 💍 🤟🏽 out of all the fish in the sea, you chose me 🥹.”
Their engagement was met with love and excitement from Kristen’s Bravo family. Fellow reality star Brittany Cartwright commented, “So happy for you love you so much!” while Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen cheered her on, saying, “This is EXCITING!!! We need some good news and this is great!!!”
Even Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix chimed in, writing, “Congratulations 🥹🥹🥹💖💖💖 so happy for both of you 🫶🏼🫶🏼.”
Both Kristen and Stassi have made their returns to reality TV, but separately. Kristen stars in the first season of The Valley alongside former VPR castmates Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor, while Stassi is set to appear in season 2 of Vanderpump Villa. In a fun Instagram teaser posted by Lisa Vanderpump, Stassi made a surprise appearance, joking about adding her favorite goat cheese balls to the menu. Lisa welcomed her back with a toast, saying, “Welcome back, darling!”
