Kanye West Sued Over Allegations Of Spying On Wife Bianca And Threatening Ex-Employee
Kanye West, now legally known as Ye, is in hot water again as a former staffer has filed a lawsuit against him, alleging a series of disturbing actions involving his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, current wife Bianca Censori, and even his own employees. The lawsuit, filed on October 7 in Los Angeles, accuses the rapper of emotional distress, retaliation, and labor violations. The anonymous plaintiff, referred to as “John Doe,” claims Ye’s behavior has become increasingly erratic and dangerous.
One of the most shocking allegations in the complaint is that Ye hired a private investigator to tail his current wife, Bianca Censori, while she was visiting family in Australia. According to the lawsuit, Bianca had no idea she was being followed. At the same time, Ye allegedly tasked the former employee with investigating Kim and her family, convinced they were involved in criminal enterprises, including sex trafficking.
The plaintiff claims that his role at Yeezy was to “fix” Kanye’s problems, a job that included looking into stolen or lost items. The complaint states that it was common for Ye to misplace expensive cars or fail to pay for services he’d requested. The former employee alleges that things took a dark turn in May 2024, around the time the rapper reportedly decided to get titanium teeth and consume nitrous oxide. This, the plaintiff speculates, may have contributed to Ye’s erratic behavior.
The former staffer further claims that when allegations of child abuse at Donda Academy surfaced, Ye’s reaction was nothing short of terrifying. According to the complaint, an employee at Kanye’s private Christian school reported potential abuse, but when Doe tried to raise concerns, the rapper allegedly responded with threats of violence, telling the plaintiff, “You’re f—ing dead to me!” The complaint also says that West’s associates later made violent threats towards Doe.
John Doe, a military veteran with PTSD, says that the stress of working for Ye and the threats made against him have left him in fear for his life. His attorney, Ron Zambrano, expressed outrage in a statement to PEOPLE, saying, “Ye has only himself to blame for his mounting legal woes. He just can’t continue hiring employees, treating them terribly, then refusing to pay them in violation of numerous employment laws, let alone threaten to kill them as he did in this case.”
This lawsuit is just the latest in a string of legal troubles for Kanye. Earlier this year, Kanye’s former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, filed a separate lawsuit against him for sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment.
The Jesus Walks hitmaker denied the allegations, accusing Lauren of attempting to extort him for $50 million.
At the time of this writing, representatives for Kanye, Bianca, and the Kardashian family have not commented on the latest lawsuit.
