Lady Gaga Thrilled By Fan Response To New Single “Disease”: “Keep Dancing
Lady Gaga is feeling the love! The 38-year-old pop superstar took to Instagram on Sunday, October 27, to share her excitement over the overwhelmingly positive response to her new single, Disease, which dropped just two days earlier.
In her heartfelt post, Gaga expressed how much the reaction from her fans, whom she affectionately calls her “Little Monsters,” means to her. “I honestly am trying to find the right words to say—I have been so excited to release my new music and to see all the monsters come alive and dance and perform and smile and cry is such an insane joy,” she wrote.
The Bad Romance singer didn’t hold back her gratitude, adding, “I’m so grateful and overwhelmed at your love for Disease. Keep dancing.”
And for fans eager for more, Gaga made sure to let them know that “there’s a LOT more to come.”
She also took a moment to reflect on the strong bond she shares with her fanbase, saying, “I haven’t seen our community like this in a very long time. Thank you for coming on this ride with me all these years and still showing up for the music 🖤 Also…happy Halloween.”
Disease is the highly anticipated lead single from Gaga’s upcoming seventh album, LG7. Ahead of the single’s release, Gaga teased her followers with a visual snippet of the song on Instagram. The eerie teaser, posted on October 21, showed a raven-haired Gaga running away from a car through a quiet suburban neighborhood. The camera, positioned from inside the car, gave the audience the feeling of chasing the pop icon down dark, winding streets. The clip featured haunting piano notes and light percussion, setting the stage for the moody track.
In the same week, Gaga shared the official poster for Disease, where she’s seen wearing a white dress, leaning over the hood of a car as if she’d been struck by it. The striking imagery only added to the buzz around the release.Fans were already on a high from Gaga’s recent work. Just last month, she dropped Harlequin, a companion album to Joker: Folie à Deux, which she fondly called “LG 6.5.” The LP included mostly covers, with two original tracks, Happy Mistake and Folie à Deux. Gaga’s fiancé, Michael Polansky, was heavily involved, serving as co-executive producer and co-writing four songs, including Good Morning and If My Friends Could See Me Now.
