Lily-Rose Depp Praises 070 Shake: “I’m So Proud”
Lily-Rose Depp is glowing — both in her career and her personal life. The actress, 25, made a stunning appearance at the 15th annual Governors Awards on November 17, where she walked the red carpet with co-star Nicholas Hoult. While the gothic horror film is on everyone’s radar, Lily-Rose took a moment to gush about another major influence in her life: her relationship with rapper 070 Shake.
Speaking to E! News about supporting her partner’s latest album, Petrichor, Lily-Rose couldn’t contain her pride. “I feel like there’s not enough time in these short interviews to really sum it up. But I’m incredibly proud,” she shared. “Yeah, she’s incredibly talented. I’m very proud.”
When asked what makes their relationship work so well, Lily-Rose said it’s something indescribable. “I mean, I think it’s, you know, it’s that kind of je ne sais quoi,” she said with a smile.
“You can’t describe that kind of feeling. But yeah, I’m very happy,” she added.
The couple’s love story has captured fans’ hearts since Lily-Rose confirmed their relationship in May 2023. She marked “4 MONTHS W MY CRUSH” with a sweet Instagram post featuring the two sharing a kiss. By January 2024, the actress was celebrating their one-year anniversary, declaring, “1 <3. My Dani my forever.”
The affection is mutual. 070 Shake, whose real name is Danielle Balbuena, dedicated her latest album to Lily-Rose, calling her the inspiration behind it. “Dedicated to you, forever,” the rapper wrote on Instagram, adding, “Thank you. You’ve inspired me to be better.”
Lily-Rose, just as smitten, hyped the album’s release on her Instagram Stories, writing, “It’s time. There’s no one like you and nothing like this album. Y’all are not f—ing ready!!!!”
Their connection has even spilled into their work. Lily-Rose appeared in the music video for 070 Shake’s song Winter Baby / New Jersey Blues, and the rapper has called her a “muse.”
As Lily-Rose’s love life blossoms, her career is also taking bold steps forward. She stars in the upcoming Nosferatu, a gothic horror film from acclaimed director Robert Eggers. The movie, set to release on December 25, features an all-star cast, including Nicholas Hoult, Bill Skarsgård as the titular vampire, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, and Willem Dafoe. In the film, Lily-Rose plays a woman haunted by an ancient vampire, promising a chilling performance that showcases her range as an actress.
While she’s best known for her acting chops, Lily-Rose’s personal life has also been a point of intrigue. The daughter of Hollywood legend Johnny Depp and French singer Vanessa Paradis, she’s previously been linked to Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler.
