Charlie Puth Confirms New Album For 2025: “Not Five Years, Not Four Years — Next Year!”

Charlie Puth is gearing up to deliver fresh music, and fans won’t have to wait much longer! The 33-year-old singer, best known for hits like Attention and Left and Right, recently revealed during a Q&A session with fans that his highly anticipated fourth studio album is set to drop at the top of next year.
“So not five years, not four years — next year,” Charlie said in a video shared on social media, poking fun at the lengthy breaks between his previous albums.
He added that whether he’s fully ready or not doesn’t matter much because he’s “contractually obligated to release something next year.”
Charlie, who wrapped up his Asian tour last week, has been keeping fans entertained with smaller musical treats. Just last month, he surprised listeners with a festive single titled December 25. “I wrote and recorded ‘December 25’ completely on a whim a few weeks ago in my studio while working on my new album,” he explained.
While the singer said that the song does not sound like anything on the album, he added, “I figured why not share it for the holidays.”
Earlier this year, Charlie also released the heartfelt single Hero in May. The emotional ballad explores the pain of watching someone you care about self-destruct. “It’s one of the hardest songs I’ve ever had to write,” Charlie shared on Instagram, adding, but I wrote it in hopes that you’ve gone through something similar in your life, and that it can fill in the BLANK for you like it did for me.”
Interestingly, Hero might not even make it onto the new album. In a candid moment, Charlie revealed that the track stands apart from the project’s overall vibe. However, he did credit Taylor Swift for nudging him to release the song after she gave him a lyrical shoutout on her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
“…I want to thank Taylor Swift for letting me know musically that I just couldn’t keep this on my hard drive any longer,” Charlie wrote in an Instagram post at the time.
While details about the upcoming album remain tightly under wraps, one thing is clear — Charlie is excited, and his fans are too.
