Sam Asghari Rings In The New Year With Rumored Girlfriend Brooke Irvine
It looks like Sam Asghari is starting 2024 with a smile — and some new romance! Eight months after finalizing his divorce from pop icon Britney Spears, the 30-year-old actor and model shared cozy photos with his rumored girlfriend, Brooke Irvine, on Instagram.
“Happy New Year to All 🫶,” Sam captioned the Jan. 1 post, which included snapshots of the couple enjoying a tropical getaway. In the photos, Sam and Brooke are seen lounging together on a palm tree, sharing a warm embrace, and locking eyes in a mirror selfie. He also shared an Instagram Story featuring the pair smiling in a loving embrace, writing, “Happy New Year to Everyone.”
Sam and Brooke, a real estate agent, were first linked in November 2023. The two have since been spotted around Los Angeles — from casual outings at a dog park to shopping trips at Home Goods and even traveling together through LAX.
Their relationship comes after Sam’s highly publicized split from Britney. The pair began dating in 2016 after meeting on the set of her Slumber Party music video and tied the knot in June 2022. Their marriage ended in July 2023, with their divorce finalized by early May.
In a candid interview with PEOPLE in November, Sam opened up about life after his marriage and the lessons he’s learned. “It’s the bed that you make yourself, and you got to learn how to lay in it, so it’s part of the lifestyle,” he shared, adding, “You just got to keep it positive. You got to stay grounded and understand what the truth is…”
When asked if he had been able to move on, Sam confidently said, “Absolutely.” He revealed he’s been keeping busy with various acting projects, including his upcoming role on The Traitors season 3. “There’s a lot of work stuff that I’m doing that I want to let the work do the talk, and with acting, it’s what comes next and all the work that you’re putting in. So I did a few projects and very excited to announce it,” he said.
Reflecting on his marriage to Britney in an earlier interview, Sam spoke with gratitude about their time together. “It was a blessing to be able to share life with someone for a long time. And people grow apart, and people move on,” he stated.
Sam also emphasized his commitment to remaining respectful toward his ex-wife. “…I never understood when people part ways [and] they talk badly about each other. That’s something I’m never going to do because I had nothing but an amazing experience and a great life, and that’s always going to be part of my life, a chapter of my life,” he stated.
