“I Love ‘em All”: Brody Jenner Says Of Half–Sisters Kendall Jenner And Kylie Jenner
Brody Jenner opened up about his complicated family relationships, childhood struggles, and his newfound perspective on life as a father. Despite being part of the famous Kardashian-Jenner clan, the 41-year-old television personality, revealed on The Viall Files podcast that his connections with half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, though loving, are distant due to their busy lives.
“Love ‘em all to death,” Brody shared. “I just don’t see them.”
He said further, “It’s not their fault or mine—it’s just how things worked out. Growing up in different households makes it tough.”
Brody’s mother, Linda Thompson, and Caitlyn Jenner (formerly known as Bruce), divorced when Brody was young. Caitlyn later married Kris Jenner, blending their families and introducing Kendall and Kylie into Brody’s life. While he cherishes his siblings, he admitted their paths rarely cross. “If Kylie or Kendall call me right now, I would walk out of this room and pick up the phone and I’d be there for them,” he said.
Recently, Brody reunited with his family, including Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, to celebrate Caitlyn’s 75th birthday at Kylie’s house. Unfortunately, Kylie was traveling at the time. “Everyone’s busy,” he explained.
Brody’s reflections didn’t shy away from the challenges of his relationship with Caitlyn. He candidly discussed feeling abandoned during his childhood. “I’d randomly see him—‘him’ at the time — you know, here and there. But, mom would tell me that I would write on cards, ‘Why doesn’t dad call me on my birthday?’” he recalled.
Despite the strained relationship, Brody acknowledged that Caitlyn’s personal struggles, including her gender transition, played a significant role.
“When I found out that Caitlyn, or Bruce, wanted to be Caitlyn, it was sort of a relief,” Brody revealed during Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
Brody shared that Caitlyn recently apologized to him, a moment he described as deeply meaningful. “It was the first time in my life that I’ve ever gotten an apology. You know, I’m sorry for not being there, and honestly, it meant a lot,” he stated.
Reflecting on his own role as a father to daughter Honey, born in July 2023 with fiancée Tia Blanco, Brody emphasized the importance of being present. “…when you have kids, you need to accept a little bit of responsibility that the things you do are also going to reflect on them as well.”
Though his relationship with Caitlyn has improved, Brody admitted the invasive nature of reality TV complicated things in the past. “..there were these moments that we would have that was all filmed, and it just felt very invasive and not very genuine, I would say,” he shared.
