Jamie Foxx Breaks Up With Girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp
Jamie Foxx, 57, has ended his relationship with Alyce Huckstepp after a year and a half of dating. The breakup comes shortly after Jamie’s surprising declaration in his new Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, where he humorously proclaimed he’s been “cured” of dating white women.
The couple first sparked romance rumors in 2023, following Jamie’s six-year relationship with actress Katie Holmes, which ended in 2019. Their relationship seemed solid, with sweet moments like romantic dinners at Nobu Malibu, where they debuted their relationship, and a trip to Mexico just last October. Alyce even supported Jamie behind the scenes on projects, including a BetMGM commercial shoot in July 2024.
Alyce played a key role during a difficult time in Jamie’s life, standing by him after his near-fatal stroke in April 2023. The actor, who was in a coma for 20 days, credited her as a positive influence during his recovery. At the time, insiders described her as “great” for him as he regained his strength.
However, following their October trip, things took a surprising turn. In his Netflix special, released on December 10, Jamie joked about being “back on the black side of town.” Sitting at a piano, he sang, “Sisters, I’m here to tell you, I’ve been cured…No more white girls. No more potato salad and raisins!”
The audience erupted in laughter as Jamie continued, “I’m back on the Black side of town!”
Jamie’s comments, while comedic, left fans speculating about his sincerity. Social media lit up with reactions ranging from disbelief to amusement. “Jamie funny as s**t because he lying like hell,” one fan wrote on X, while another joked, “Interesting. It took a stroke???”
The Netflix special also revealed raw and emotional details about Jamie’s health battle. Recounting his stroke, he shared how he lost 20 days of memory and couldn’t walk. He credited his 16-year-old daughter, Anelise, for helping him heal.
During the heartfelt moment, Anelise joined him on stage, showcasing her musical talent. Jamie expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you much for stepping up when all was lost.”
The end of Jamie and Alyce’s relationship coincides with the release of his action-comedy film Back In Action, which premiered on Netflix on January 17. The movie, co-starring Cameron Diaz, marks a comeback for both stars — Jamie’s first film post-stroke and Cameron’s return to acting after a nearly decade-long hiatus.
