Kelsea Ballerini had to make a tough call while on her Kelsea Ballerini Live Tour. The 31-year-old singer started her Buffalo concert at KeyBank Center on February 6 but couldn’t finish due to health issues.
“Buffalo, I am so, so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight,” she told fans on Instagram Stories. “I am sicker than I am trying to be, and I did not want to let anyone down tonight.”
Determined to make it up to her fans, Kelsea announced she was rescheduling her Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Toronto shows to April 11, 12, and 13 — the final stretch of her tour. “I will put out every stop for you and I will make it so worth it. I’m gonna go rest now and get better so I can really show up for the rest of this tour,” she promised, adding, “I will make them the best shows I’ve ever played in my whole life.”
This isn’t the first time Kelsea has had to push through sickness on tour. On February 4, during her Detroit show, fans stepped in to help when she struggled to sing Penthouse. A TikTok video captured the crowd singing the lyrics for her, showing just how much love and support she has.
Earlier on February 6, before her Buffalo concert, Kelsea had shared that she was “feeling better” after some much-needed rest and medication. She was excited to perform, even joking that her raspy voice reminded her of Friends character Phoebe Buffay’s “sexy voice.”
Despite having to reschedule, Kelsea’s love for her fans hasn’t wavered. After cutting her Buffalo show short, she posted a photo of herself cuddling a pillow made by a fan, calling it exactly what she needed. “I can’t even tell you how much I needed this and what it means,” she wrote. “Thank you. I love and appreciate y’all. see you in a few days.”
With a little rest and a lot of determination, the Unapologetically singer is gearing up for her next tour stop on Feb. 10 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. And when she returns to Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Toronto in April, she’s promising to give fans the best shows of her life.
