Savannah Chrisley Turns To Trump For Help In Parents’ Legal Battle

Savannah Chrisley isn’t backing down. As her parents, Todd and Julie, continue their legal battle, she’s turning to an unexpected source for help — Donald Trump.
The Chrisley Knows Best star revealed she’s working through official channels to request a presidential pardon for her parents, who are serving time for bank fraud and tax evasion. “I know that I am going through the proper channels to do so, and I’m going to bring as much awareness to it as possible because these things should not happen,” Savannah told PEOPLE.
Todd and Julie, married since 1996, were sentenced in November 2022. While Julie was granted an appeal due to insufficient evidence, a judge still upheld her original sentence. Todd’s appeal was denied. Despite their legal setbacks, Savannah and her family refuse to give up.
“We thought it was going to end differently,” she admitted, reflecting on the past few years. “We stood in the truth, and we saw the corruption in Fulton County. We saw how the judge handled the case. We just saw all of it and we’re like, ‘There’s no way. There’s no way it’s going to end this way.’ But, it did.”
Since their sentencing, Savannah has taken on a massive role. At just 25, she became the legal guardian of her younger siblings, Grayson, now 18, and Chloe, 12. She worked multiple jobs, hosting her Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley podcast, competing on reality TV, and selling houses as a realtor. She’s also preparing to launch a direct-to-consumer female pharmacy brand later this year.
Through it all, she’s only grown stronger. “I think that I’ve gone through a lot of s— in my life. I really have. And I’ve gone through a lot of things that I’ve never even publicly spoken about,” she shared. “When you fight silent battles, resilience just comes. When you fight silent battles, there was no one that was there for you. Whether you didn’t allow someone to be there for you, or whether you just didn’t have people there, you just learned to pick yourself up.”
Savannah credits much of her strength to Todd. In her words: “I come from a place [where] my dad was very much just like, ‘Come on, we can do this. We can do this. You can do anything a man can do, if not better.’ My dad was a constant encourager in that way.”
And quitting? That’s not in her DNA. “I have such a fight mentality. I’m a Leo to its core. I just don’t give up.”
