Nick Jonas Makes Broadway Debut In Style With Priyanka Chopra By His Side
Nick Jonas had a big night on Sunday, April 6, 2025 — and his biggest supporter, Priyanka Chopra, was right there with him, turning heads on the red carpet outside the Hudson Theatre in New York City.
Dressed to impress, the couple looked sleek and stylish in matching black outfits. Nick, 32, kept things classic with a pinstripe suit, a white T-shirt underneath, and black shoes. Priyanka, 42, brought the glam in a sleeveless halter top with a tuxedo-style lapel and a fitted knee-length skirt. The Citadel actress, who knows how to make a statement without saying a word, finished the look with diamond earrings, silver heels, and matching bracelets.
The two were there for the official Broadway opening of The Last Five Years, a musical starring Nick as Jamie, a young novelist whose relationship is slowly falling apart. This isn’t just any revival — it’s the first time The Last Five Years has ever made it to Broadway, despite being a fan favorite since its Off-Broadway debut in 2002.
The show, written by Jason Robert Brown and now directed by Whitney White, explores a love story told from two perspectives — Jamie’s journey plays forward in time, while Cathy, played by Adrienne Warren, tells hers in reverse. The emotional criss-cross makes for a heart-wrenching but beautiful experience, filled with memorable songs like Still Hurting and The Next Ten Minutes.
Priyanka already got an early glimpse of the show in March when she attended a preview performance. She later posted on Instagram, “I still cannot get over what I saw last night,” praising both Nick and Adrienne with heart and mind-blown emojis. “This show is so special in such incredible ways, and they’re both so talented,” she wrote, clearly in awe of her husband’s Broadway debut.
Nick’s brothers, Joe and Kevin Jonas, were also spotted at the big premiere and had previously caught a preview of the show when it opened on March 18. The Jonas family came out in full force to support Nick’s new adventure on stage.
On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last month, Nick talked about how much he’s loving the experience. “Putting the whole thing together has been an absolute joy. We’re having the best time,” he said. His co-star Warren chimed in too, saying, “He’s such an incredible teammate and such a hard worker. He ups the ante every single day and I’m like, ‘Wait a minute. I gotta step up!’”
Jason Robert Brown, who started writing the musical way back in 1999, said when the Broadway run was first announced, “I have always believed that when the time was right, The Last Five Years would make its way to Broadway.”
