Another Glee Star is in Trouble With the Law
Former Glee star Blake Jenner has been charged with driving under the influence and is facing legal consequences.
Jenner, at the age of 29, was pulled over in Burbank, California, after he ran a red light. When the officers noticed that Jenner was acting unusual, they asked him to perform several field sobriety tests. The officer stated that Jenner failed to comply with instruction and complete the tests successfully.
Blake Jenner joined the Glee cast in season 4 and 5, where he acted as Ryder Lynn. He went on to star in The Edge of Seventeen and American Animals. Recently, he has not pursued any acting endeavors.
Jenner ended up engaged to Glee co-star Melissa Benoist in 2013. They were engaged for two years before marrying in 2015. Just one year later, the two split in 2016. Benoist was the one who filed for divorce, and it was obvious that the two did not end things amicably.
Benoist publicly shared that she had been in a tense relationship that included a fair share of domestic abuse. From how she described the relationship, it was apparent that she was talking about her struggles with Jenner.
Blake Jenner took to social media as well after Benoist’s video to address any allegations he was receiving, but waited a year to do so. Jenner said that the two had a toxic relationship full of many struggles, including jealousy and insecurity. Jenner admitted that he was emotionally, mentally, and physically abusive, and claimed that Benoist was also abusive.
He apologized publicly for any harm he caused Benoist, and stated that he wished nothing but the best for her in the future. Jenner said that he was taking the time to better himself and improve for any new relationship he got in. Currently, Blake Jenner is single.
