Cara Delevigne’s Family Considers Intervening To Help Troubled Supermodel
British supermodel Cara Delevigne got everyone’s attention after being photographed in not-so-flattering images.
Her recent public appearances where she looks disheveled and her photos, including one where she was seen smoking a pipe while in a car, have raised health concerns. When photographed last Monday at the Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles, the model appeared disoriented. Her worried family has certainly noticed these photograph and are considering staging an intervention in hopes the model is not entirely burning at both ends.
Cara’s friends are also onboard with her family to find feasible and effective ways to help the disturbed former “It Girl.” One of her close friends mentioned last Wednesday to The Sun that everyone is incredibly concerned and that Cara’s situation has been progressing for several weeks now, so everyone, even Cara’s family, is already involved.
This close friend further shared that everyone’s goal right now is to get Cara the help she needs because what she’s going through is already taking a heavy toll on her.
Cara’s parents, Charles, a wealthy property developer, and Pandora, are based in England. She has three siblings, including Poppy, a socialite and model.
The latest sighting of the model—where she appeared disheveled at the airport and even jittery while boarding Puma, Jay-Z’s private jet—added to the building concern. The cover girl struggled with her body movement in the airport. She was mostly on her phone, but she dropped her phone occasionally and continued to move around restlessly. She looked frazzled and was also very late for her flight—2 hours late, to be exact.
After 45 minutes, the model disembarked, and while on the tarmac, she was seen smoking and glued to her phone while still appearing edgy. Eventually, Cara’s bags were removed from the plane and placed back in the SUV she arrived in. It was unclear if Cara was asked to leave or what prevented her from continuing with her flight.
Cara recently attended the Burning Man festival, and resources say that the model didn’t eat or shower during the event. Her companions were visibly worried about her erratic behavior, but with her sister at the festival, she had someone to rely on.
With Cara’s transformation from her earlier stunning and glamorous self to her now unkempt look, it is easy to overlook that Cara was once a highly sought-after model. Now, her limbs have bruises, and her psoriasis is unmanageable.
A friend mentioned that Cara finds her photos circulating on social media funny and that there’s nothing wrong with how she’s living her life.
But there have been repeated concerning instances, like when Cara attempted to perform a magic trick on Jimmy Fallon’s chat show in July while visibly trembling and holding a playing card.
In another interview, Live with Kelly and Ryan, Cara was seen rambling and rubbing her hands so vigorously that her microphone picked up the noises.
Then there was the Met Gala last May, where she was again the center of attention but not for the right reasons. She attended the event wearing an unflattering red suit that she opened to reveal her naked torso that was painted gold.
In fairness to Cara, she has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) which may have contributed to her recent behaviors. There is still concern, though, that the Dior ambassador might be on the verge of something more serious, like an addiction. It is no secret that her mother battled dependence when Cara and her siblings were little.
Let’s hope Cara gets the help she needs and accepts the support being extended to her.
