Diddy Is Being Sued for Rape and Physical Abuse by Ex-Girlfriend
Music mogul Diddy, otherwise known as Sean Combs, is facing federal lawsuits due to charges of rape and repeated physical abuse. The plaintiff is his ex-girlfriend, R&B legend Cassie, or Cassandra Ventura.
The rapper, who has made a name for himself using the name P Diddy or Puff Daddy, supposedly abused and controlled Cassie for more than a decade. He also allegedly plied her with drugs, beat her, and forced her to have sex with several male prostitutes while he recorded and watched.
Cassie met P Diddy in 2005 while she was 19. They separated in 2018. Based on the lawsuit, P Diddy forced himself into Cassie’s home and sexually assaulted her just before the two called it quits.
The 54-year-old music icon has strongly denied all allegations, describing them as outrageous and offensive.
Cassie filed a legal document in Manhattan’s Federal District Court stating, “After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”
According to her legal representative, Douglas Wigdor, Diddy offered Cassie an “eight-figured amount to silence her and to prevent the lawsuit.” Cassie refused and wanted to provide a voice for all the women who suffer in silence.”
One of the shocking allegations that Diddy is facing is sex trafficking. He apparently made the 37-year-old have sex with male prostitutes. Cassie revealed that he would plan such activities to fulfill his voyeur fantasies that typically happened in hotels and his home.
According to the lawsuit, costumes and masks were used as props at times. All the while, the music executive watched and masturbated. He was also known to film these incidents quite often.
In the document, Cassie described these ordeals as “horrific encounters.” She admitted that she would often take drugs to disassociate herself from Diddy’s orchestrated arrangements.
Excerpts from the lawsuit state, “Mr. Combs directed Ms. Ventura to perform sexual acts with this man while Mr. Combs watched them. He masturbated while he directed Ms. Ventura and the man to do specific sexual acts. The entire encounter lasted multiple days.” These encounters are called “freak-offs” by Diddy.
If the freak-offs weren’t traumatic enough, Cassie also allegedly underwent physical assault. According to the singer, there was an instance in March 2016 where Diddy punched her and left her with a black eye.
She alleged that she tried to escape the hotel room after Diddy fell asleep, but he unfortunately woke up, screamed at her, and grabbed her. Taking the glass vases decorating the hotel’s hallway, Diddy threw them at her. While the glass broke around her, Cassie ran towards the elevator to escape.
Though Cassie managed to leave, she returned out of fear that the rapper would be even angrier. Upon seeing her come back, the hotel staff encouraged her to get into a cab and go home.
Diddy claimed to have paid the hotel staff more or less $50,000 to keep the hallway security footage a secret. Other incidents of rape and drug abuse were all described in the lawsuit.
