Kanye West To Possibly Face Another Lawsuit From George Floyd’s Family
Kanye West’s recent tirades and rants keep getting him into trouble and possibly another lawsuit.
The family of George Floyd is considering legal action against the highly controversial Kanye because of the rapper’s claim that George was not killed by police brutality. Still worse, he speculated it was death due to a fentanyl overdose.
A tweet invited the possibility of legal action last Sunday by Lee Merritt, an attorney, and civil rights activist. The lawyer stated that Kanye’s remarks about the cause of George’s death demoralized his family.
Although Mr. Merritt acknowledged that defamation of the dead is impossible, the family of the murdered African-American man is still keen on filing a lawsuit against Kanye’s comments.
Recall that George was a victim of Derek Chauvin, a Minneapolis police officer, two years ago in May 2020. The statement Kanye made regarding George’s death as not brutal and caused by fentanyl diminishes the pain of the bereaved family and their struggle for justice.
Kanye made the shocking statement during his Revolt TV’s Drinks Champs podcast appearance. In another episode, he accused his ex-mother-in-law Kris Jenner of having had a sexual relationship with 33-year-old Drake. The rapper stated that his interview was censored because of the Jewish media.
Kanye’s matter-of-fact remarks about the Jewish people controlling the black voice are surprising and even more disturbing. Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband, at one point, even sarcastically mentioned that the Jewish media would cancel one of the show’s hosts just for saying something terrible about “Black Lives Matter”.
The 45-year-old Kanye has been repeatedly releasing anti-Semitic comments that haven’t gone down well with plenty of people. There’s also the controversy of his releasing a series of “White Lives Matter” shirts.
Candace Owens’ documentary “The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd” and the “Rise of BLM” featured additional upsetting remarks from Kanye. He said that George was screaming for his mama when “mama” was his girlfriend.
The recent erratic behavior of the rapper caused him to face severe backlash and even lose friends along the way. He has continuously burned bridges, with Justin Bieber being the last to call their friendship quits in support of his wife, Hailey Bieber.
JP Chase Morgan also recently ended their business with the disturbed fashion designer, and the bank only gave Kanye until November 21 to withdraw, transfer or remove all his funds from their bank. JP Morgan’s decision might have been due to another rant by Kanye.
In another outburst, Kanye retaliated against JP Morgan, sharing with his fans that he had placed $140 million in the established and well-reputed bank only to be treated like garbage. He added that if JP Morgan could treat him like that, what could the rest of its clientele expect?
It has also been revealed that Kanye’s interview in The Shop will not be aired. Maverick Carter, the show’s co-host, stated that it was pulled because of Kanye’s recent hate speeches and emphasis on dangerous typecasts.
How long will Kanye’s outbursts go on? Only time can tell because Kanye is not pleased with anything right now.
