Lisa Marie Presley’s Autopsy Is Complete, But The Cause Of Her Death Is Still Undisclosed
The autopsy of Lisa Marie Presley has been completed, but the results have not been released yet since the attending health officials are still waiting for the toxicology report.
Lisa Marie died last Thursday due to two cardiac arrests, and a report stated the autopsy was done last Saturday. Everyone is awaiting the results of toxicology tests because this will reveal what may have been in Lisa Marie’s system when she died.
The 54-year-old Lisa Marie was the only child of rock icon Elvis Presley and actress Priscilla Presley. She experienced a full cardiac arrest last Thursday morning at her Calabasas home. Hours earlier, she had complained about severe stomach pain.
Her housekeeper discovered her unconscious in her home, and she was then taken to the hospital. The EMTs who arrived at her home managed to revive the songwriter, and she regained her pulse, but upon arriving at the hospital, she was declared already brain-dead.
Her family and loved ones all dropped their activities and rushed to be with Lisa Marie, where she was placed in an induced coma. She was also placed on life support.
It was later found that Lisa Marie suffered a second cardiac arrest that caused her to pass away after her family signed a DNR or Do Not Resuscitate order.
Priscilla, her 77-year-old mother, was by her daughter’s bedside throughout the ordeal.
Her mother also provided an official statement last Thursday evening: “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”
The grieving mother had positive words for her daughter, describing her as “the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known.”
Lisa Marie’s ex-husband, Danny Keough, her first of four husbands and the person she lived with during her time of death, was reported to have returned to their home shortly after Lisa Marie collapsed. It was also disclosed that Danny performed CPR up until the emergency paramedics arrived at their home.
Danny and Lisa Marie share two children, 33-year-old Riley, an actress, and their son Benjamin, who committed suicide in July 2020 when he was 27.
The father of Lisa Marie’s 14-year-old twins is Michael Lockwood. The twins are named Finlay and Harper Vivienne.
Many fans and concerned friends of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s daughter remarked that two years after the death of her son, Lisa Marie has not entirely moved on. The singer has not been active on social media either, with her last post dated August.
Lisa Marie was described as someone who was really hurting and still incredibly sad after the passing of Benjamin, who was buried alongside his grandfather at Graceland.
Two days before Lisa Marie’s sudden death, she broke down at the Golden Globes as Austin Butler made his speech. Austin played Elvis Presley in the 2022 Musical Drama Elvis, based on her father’s life.
Recall that after Benjamin’s death, Lisa Marie had become more reclusive than ever but emerged once in a while on select occasions. The last social gathering she attended was the Golden Globes in support and celebration of Austin’s Best Actor Award for bringing her father to life.
