Meghan Markle Receives American Backlash And Labeled A “Fantasist”
It appears that Meghan Markle’s tell-all interview backfired; now, even Americans have slammed her for her comments. Comparing herself to Nelson Mandela did not go well with many Americans. They feel the former Suits actress should move on and stop her veiled attacks against The Royal Family.
The 41-year-old Duchess of Sussex mentioned in her interview—supposedly about her Montecito life—that she was told by one of the Lion King cast members in 2019 that South Africans “danced in the street” similar to when “Mandela was freed from prison” when Markle married Prince Harry.
Enraged Americans claimed that the mother of two is so out of touch with the real world and resorted to calling her a “fantasist with sickening views.” They further criticized her for continuing to use the title that the Institution gave her—the same Institution that she is denigrating and bad-mouthing.
One person commented, “It doesn’t make sense that Megsy still uses the Royal Title the Queen gave them while she keeps thrashing them daily. This is a propaganda piece to spread “Meghan’s truth.” Best to return the Royal Title she hates so much so she can live her life in peace.”
Furthermore, Markle’s interview even claimed that she and Prince Harry were “upsetting the dynamic of the Royal hierarchy” simply by existing, even before they quit royal life.
Of course, Piers Morgan won’t settle for this and bashed the former actress and called her interview “revoltingly self-aggrandizing, disingenuous and hypocritical load of royal-bashing tosh.” Morgan further stated that Markle’s Mandela anecdote has him gagging.
Ordinary US citizens tired of this family drama even questioned what the Duchess had been doing since she and Harry left the palace. Another person replied, “Every time she opens her mouth, it is to bad-mouth them all and lie. It was so bad, she is now comparing herself to Nelson Mandela!”
Meghan’s comments on Prince Harry’s relationship with Prince Charles after their public fallout were not welcomed either, given that she exactly doesn’t have a stellar relationship with her father, Thomas Markle.
Meghan’s recent claim that “there would be a royal press pen with 40 photographers every time she took Archie to school” in the UK also faced backlash recently. Press members were quick to respond that this was rarely the case, with Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, dropping off and picking up their children from school themselves without any trouble.
Meghan’s recent interviews, podcasts, and statements are not going well. Although there are still avid supporters, many are raising eyebrows about what Markle’s truth is, if she is a pathological liar and, ultimately, her goal for herself and her family.
