Mimi Erotic–The Latest and Greatest Tiger King is on the Run from FBI
Though he’s now a faint memory to many, Joe Exotic and his documentary that came out in 2020 took the world by storm. Now, there’s a new fugitive who likes exotic animals; Mimi Erotic.
Her real name is Trisha Denise Meyer, though many people know her differently. Some will call her Emily, Mimi, or Trissa. She has a history of mistreating humans and animals alike, which seems to be catching up to her.
The 40-year-old mother of two is currently running from four charges that are all related to her illegally transporting a jaguar. For those wondering, the jaguar is indeed fine. She sold it as a cub for $30,000, to someone who resold it again, and soon after was dumped on the porch of a rescue facility.
Under Meyer’s care, his name was Amador, then its next comparatively sketchy owner named him Hades, but he is now peacefully relaxing in southern California at an animal sanctuary. Unfortunately, this is one of the better fates of animals who have fallen into Meyer’s hands.
Though she had a permit to own tigers, many other animals have been found in her home that she was not permitted to have. In 2016, police were sent to Meyer’s home after she allegedly scammed a man out of $3,000. In addition to three tigers, eight monkeys were in her home, as well as a cougar, a skunk, and a fox.
Police made note of the fact that her teenage children were home, tending to and being around some potentially dangerous animals. Around this time, likely for this reason, she was also charged with child endangerment.
A past landlord of hers exposed her on an online forum for breaking multiple laws about breeding dogs, lying to customers, and causing over $200,000 in damage due to having a whopping 104 dogs in the house at one time.
On the same forum, there are various other complaints of people with similar stories, saying to use caution when interacting with her and expressing their anger for damage she caused to their homes and emotional damage she’s caused from mistreating animals. Multiple people say she sold them dogs and cats illegally, with one saying, “she is now in Colorado. Just purchased a dog Saturday and it’s not what was advertised and she is fighting for her life. The lady used the name of Trissa Meyer.”
By March of 2021, Meyer was expanding her business to OnlyFans, the explicit adult content website. In addition to this, she had been posting on two Instagram accounts, one to promote her OnlyFans, and one to promote her “business.” Her regular use of social media probably helped authorities to get the scoop on what was really going on, although she’s nowhere to be found now. But it seems that the story of Trisha Meyer could give any other Netflix documentary a run for its money, should it be made into one.
