The Deets On Kathy Hilton’s Fallout With Kyle Richards
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills covered the RHOBH’s cast trip to Aspen on the September 14 episode, which doubled as a sister’s trip for Kathy Hilton and Kyle Richards. As with every trip, there was loads of drama and special appearances from Kyle Richards’ adorable dog. Ah, yes, the finer things in life.
The September 14 episode talked about Kyle Richards’ idea of the perfect day, which began with hat shopping. But her plans went to dust when Erika, who she bashed the night before for lacking empathy, refused to partake in any activities Kyle proposed. What’s more? She also took along Dorit Kemsley, who would rather give the scorned woman a shoulder to cry on than buy herself a new hat.
That left her fuming, and her sister Kyle seconded that vibe—but for another reason.
The store they were shopping at for hats offered an alcoholic beverage. While Kathy chose to have tequila from her own line, her sister chose to support her friend, Kendall Jenner, by opting for Tequila 818 while on camera. When Kyle refused to alter her choice of tequila to support Kathy’s brand, the latter upped and left.
The drama kept building up.
The real action of the much-teased season 12 feud between Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton in the disastrous Colorado trip came when a message “several hours later” popped up on the screen, which showed screenshots of texts from Lisa to Erika.
The textbook trick of signaling incoming drama.
Lisa wrote, “I got in a sprinter with Kathy and she had an absolutely [sic] meltdown.” “I’ve never heard or seen anything like it in my life.” She followed it by yet another text, “Anger screaming throwing things crying,” and “I’m locked in my room.”
Our girl Erika just dropped an “OMG” and called it a night, which is pretty normal because bar fights and meltdowns happen all the time.
This is where it gets interesting.
Lisa’s next text read, “The hatred that just came out of her towards her sister…” and “I’m speechless.” She told the cameras, “I know the idea of Kathy Hilton”. “The socialite is kind, is loving, is a pillar of society. The world thinks she’s somebody that she’s not.”
That kind of confessional is bound to leave a scar on the duo’s relationship, as a text from Kathy to Lisa reading “Silence is Golden. I am staying silent” shows.
But what is Kathy staying silent for?
Both sisters have, on their part, remained tight-lipped about what conspired at Aspen. However, in an exclusive interview with E! News, the actress shed some light on what happened on the trip to Aspen – specifically, what she told her sister Kyle Richards.
She said, “I said some things that I should not have said. It was how I was feeling.” But Kathy knew she was in the wrong. “I have to take the responsibility. I was frustrated. I should not have said anything,” she said. “I did apologize and apologize.”
