Adele Says She Wants A Daughter With Rich Paul, Dreams Of A “Bossy Little Queen”
Adele recently shared some exciting personal news with fans during her Weekends With Adele residency in Las Vegas on Friday, May 17. The 36-year-old singer revealed that she is looking forward to having a baby girl with her partner, Rich Paul.
The announcement came shortly after the 16-time Grammy winner assisted a couple with their gender reveal on stage. In a fan-recorded video from the concert, she expressed her desire to have a daughter, saying, “Once I’m done with all of my obligations and all of my shows, I want to have a baby. And I want to have a girl because I’ve already got a boy.”
Adele shares her 11-year-old son, Angelo, with her ex, Simon Konecki.
Reflecting on her future daughter, Adele said, “I feel like she might be the person I love the most in the world and I’ll probably hate the most in the world as well… She’s going to put me in my place all the time, isn’t she?”
She added, “With me as her mother and Rich as her father, my daughter’s going to be a bossy little queen, isn’t she?”
This isn’t the first time Adele has spoken about her motherhood aspirations. Last August, during another residency gig at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, she mentioned that she “really” wanted to “be a mom again soon.” She even shared that she has been writing lists of potential baby names, noting, “So every time I see a name that I like, I write it down in my phone.”
During a concert, while helping a fan choose between the names Spencer and Parker for their baby, Adele jokingly said, “I can’t say Parker because Rich likes that name.”
Rich Paul, Adele’s 42-year-old sports agent partner, also discussed the possibility of having more children in a June 2022 interview with E! News. As a father of three, he reflected on his experience, saying, “As a young dad, growing a business, it was pretty tough. But now looking as an older dad and my kids being much older, and obviously, if I was to have more kids… I’m looking forward to being a different dad, a more patient dad.”
Adele also took a moment during her May 17 show to send love to her “stepdaughter,” Reonna Simone Paul, following her college graduation from Clark Atlanta University. “Her name is Reonna. So I love you, darling. Congratulations,” she stated.
She continued, “So they’re all in Atlanta, and they’re celebrating her. And obviously, I’m here with you — wouldn’t be anywhere else — but I love you, baby. I love you!”
