Adriana Lima Is Back – Supermodel Returns To Victoria’s Secret Catwalk

Adriana Lima is making her much-anticipated return to the Victoria’s Secret runway. In a fun and playful video shared on the brand’s Instagram, the 43-year-old announced her comeback in a way only she could. The clip shows Adriana hopping into a New York City taxi and telling the driver, “I’m going home.” The confused driver replies, “I don’t know where you live.” With a smile, Lima corrects herself and says, “Can you drop me off at the Victoria’s Secret show?” Turning to the camera, she declares confidently, “I’m back!”

The video caption added a cheeky note: “Hey, we’ve been keeping a secret, but we just can’t do it anymore! @adrianalima is returning to the runway — phew, it’s out there, we feel SO much better.” 

It then invited fans to catch the livestream of the Pink Carpet and the main event on various platforms like Prime Video, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

Adriana’s return has everyone buzzing, including fellow celebrities. Gigi Hadid commented, “Looove,” while Jasmine Tookes added, “So good!” and Camila Coelho chimed in with a passionate, “YESSS.”

Adriana’s relationship with Victoria’s Secret goes way back, starting in 2000. She was a mainstay on the runway for almost two decades, having walked in 18 shows before announcing her retirement from the brand in November 2018. Reflecting on her final walk, she told PEOPLE, “I think this year is going to be the highlight of my career. This has been my 18th fashion show, and I am still as excited as I was from the first day. It’s my favorite to do.”

However, the brand faced backlash in 2019 for its lack of body diversity, leading to the cancellation of their iconic fashion show that year. It wasn’t until 2021 that Victoria’s Secret revamped its image, launching the VS Collective to focus more on what modern women want. Adriana even participated in promoting their 2023 feature film, The Tour, which centered around creative global trailblazers and marked a new era for the brand.

Adrianna, who is now 43, shared her excitement about being a part of this shift. “I feel that as a woman, and still being in fashion  —I’m 42 years old and a mom with five kids, so I feel that I’m still being celebrated in this stage of my life,” she said. 

“It’s great to see that no matter what stage you are [in life], for my kids and the new models coming up, it’s uplifting,” she added.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air on October 15 at 7 p.m. ET, and can be streamed on Prime Video, YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram.
