After Britney Spears Shocking Revelations in Her Memoir, Justin Timberlake Is Not Happy
Justin Timberlake is not at all pleased with ex-Britney Spears’s recently launched memoir, The Women in Me. The publication referenced shocking allegations that directly involved him during their time as a couple.
One insider claims that Britney doesn’t care who gets offended by her so-called truth book. The 41-year-old pop princess opened up a controversial Pandora’s box with her memoir when she claimed that she had an abortion when she was 19 and that Justin was the father. Back then, the NSYNC singer was not yet ready to be a father and told Britney they were too young to become parents.
Britney accused Justin of cheating on her with another celebrity before ending their 3-year relationship through a text message. Justin assumed that the decision they made when they were younger would remain a secret between the two of them.
An insider shared, “Justin thought that the decision they made was a decision made together, and he intended to never talk about it and for it to be kept their secret forever. Now that Britney has mentioned it, and it will live forever in her book and whatever else she decides to mention, Justin will try not to say anything about it because he knows whatever he says from this point will likely be thrown back right at him.”
Since the book’s release, the 42-year-old Justin has refrained from getting in touch with Britney and sharing his frustrations. According to a source close to Justin, the incident ruined his wedding anniversary with his wife, Jessica Biel.
Meanwhile, a source close to the “Toxic” singer revealed that Justin has nothing to say to Britney because she was sharing how things transpired from her point of view. There’s nothing he can say to her that will change the past or prevent the news from spreading because it’s already out there.
Even if he is not able to do anything about it, this doesn’t mean that he is OK with it. The friend of Britney added, “Doing this book has given Britney life, and she doesn’t care who is offended by anything in it because it is what happened. She was there and lived through it. No one can say anything. She has all this out of her and is moving on now.”
Recall that Justin and Jessica have been married since 2012, a decade after Justin’s relationship with Britney ended. The couple has two sons—8-year-old Silas and 3-year-old Phinneas.
Friends of the couple revealed that the book is not the best surprise to welcome their anniversary celebrations with, adding, “Having it in the zeitgeist hasn’t been a topic of constant conversation, but Justin and Jessica have definitely talked about it.”
“And to have to think of all of that during a time when they should celebrate their love for each other hasn’t been the most satisfying of days lately; it has been a bit stressful,” shared one of Justin’s friends.
In the meantime, the singer is trying to focus on NSYNC’s new music and his upcoming movie. He is trying hard to avoid the naysayers and those who want to add fuel to the fire and revisit the past.
