After Five Years, Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton Call It Quits
All good things end, including it seems Hollywood couple Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton. After spending the last five years together, it appears that the two will be looking for their “happily ever afters” with other people.
For months, there have been speculations that the two were having issues, especially after they weren’t seen together during the BAFTA Awards in February.
Last Friday, an insider revealed to The Sun that the 42-year-old Rami and the 29-year-old Lucy already separated earlier this year on account of “growing apart” from each other.
The same source shared with the outlet that, “Rami and Lucy split earlier this year without much fanfare. They were together for a long time but had grown apart. They are both moving on with their lives and are busy with work; Rami has surrounded himself with his mates and has spent the summer enjoying himself.”
Rami may have a head start on moving on since he has been seen with a few different women since then. Last month, he was photographed holding hands with a pretty blonde woman as he was leaving his hotel to attend the Bruce Springsteen concert at Hyde Park.
This was when he was also captured singing along with Emma Corrin. It was also revealed that Rami asked Emma to join him for the concert last month and they had a good time. So far, it seems like Rami is keen on enjoying and living his life to the fullest.
Speculations about the couple going through a rough patch started circulating when Rami was seen deep in conversation with Emma, the 27-year-old star of The Crown. He was also seen keeping close to the blonde mystery woman.
On the other hand, Lucy—who plays Freddie Mercury’s wife Mary Austin in Bohemian Rhapsody—appeared at Wimbledon several weeks back and enjoyed the tennis matches with Rami.
Afterward, Rami was seen getting and enjoying drinks with Mama Mia’s Dominic Cooper and Rachel Brosnahan in Notting Hill, London. Rami and the 33-year-old Rachel, the wife of US actor Jason Ralph, later went for a stroll at Primrose Hill, conversing and laughing while clutching plastic glasses of wine.
Despite being in the spotlight, Rami is very private about his life, especially regarding his love life. Though he is naturally charming, sweet, and funny, he hardly ever opens up about his personal relationships.
Based on the report of Life & Style, the rumors about the two having issues were also triggered when Rami was pictured being very cozy with the 38-year-old Lea Seydoux, one of his co-stars in No Time to Die.
If you recall, Rami and Lucy’s relationship began in 2018 after they both starred in the 2017 Freddie Mercury biopic.
Back then, Lucy had an interview with The Cut sometime in 2019 where she revealed, “I had an interview recently where I was asked such crude and candid questions about my relationship. It kind of forced me to pull away from the public eye.”
To date, the representatives of both celebrities have not released any statements about their separation.
