After Two Years Of Romance, Bella Hadid And Marc Kalman Quietly Called It Quits Earlier This Year
Supermodel Bella Hadid is single again and has been for some time now, as news broke that she and her beau of two years, Marc Kalman, decided to go their separate ways last spring after their romance had run its course.
The 26-year-old beauty is currently concentrating on her health and is on medical leave for four months to get help and recover from Lyme Disease.
An insider revealed that Bella and Marc were very in love, but their relationship inevitably ran its course, and they amicably decided that it was best for them to part ways. Despite always being in the limelight, Bella, best described as an extremely nice girl, struggles with all the attention and pressures that come with her fame.
She is now taking this time to prioritize herself and take care of herself more after the breakup.
The source further shared that nine months ago, Bella decided to stop drinking, and she did. She has been sober for nine months, and drug or alcohol addiction has never been a problem. It was also clarified that Bella is not check-in at any rehab facility. But since the breakup last spring, Bella has been getting treatments daily for her Lyme disease.
Recall that the model contracted the tick-borne disease in 2012 and was assumed to have been on her family’s Santa Barbara horse ranch.
Before being diagnosed with Lyme disease when she was 16 years old, Bella, born in DC but raised in Malibu, was initially diagnosed with ADHD at 14, but this was an incorrect diagnosis. She also started self-medicating when she was 15 because she was sick and depressed.
Bella then started homeschooling and quit riding horses because of her frequent brain fog. The model shared that nobody believed her and that she was ill except for her mom, Yolanda Hadid, who was also diagnosed with the same disease in 2012.
Yolanda’s health journey was nerve-wracking, seeing over a hundred doctors, undergoing Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, stem cell transplant, chelation therapy, and colon hydrotherapy, to name a few, in the quest to discover what was wrong. These were all revealed in her book Believe Me, which she released in 2017.
Bella shared about her 59-year-old former Ford model mom, “After many misdiagnoses for two years, she started driving me anywhere and everywhere on our own, sick herself, to find the doctors that could heal me. I just turned 15/16, I think.”
Further explaining her and their mother’s journey, Bella stated that she was already doing holistic treatments and IVs, which were all band-aid solutions for her. She recalled her first Lyme treatment at the University of Nevada in Reno. Then, about two years later, she and her mom, who was also sick, went across the Mexican border to Tijuana, where they met with a small-town doctor.
Back then, to their advantage, Lyme disease became more visible through blood and even in kinesiology. And until now, Bella has been battling the same fight and hoping to manage and overcome it this time.
