Amber Heard Is Pregnant – Actress Expecting Second Child
Amber Heard is ready to grow her family! The Aquaman actress, 38, is expecting her second child, PEOPLE confirms. While it’s still early in the pregnancy, a spokesperson shared, “Amber is delighted both for herself and Oonagh Paige.”
Already a proud mom to 3½-year-old Oonagh Paige, Amber welcomed her first child on April 8, 2021. At the time, she made it clear that motherhood was something she had planned for years.
When the actress revealed the news of Oonagh’s birth, she said that she had decided she wanted to have a child four years ago. “I wanted to do it on my own terms,” she stated.
In her announcement, Amber reflected on the personal journey of becoming a parent solo. “I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib,” she further shared.
Amber, who calls herself a “multitasking mama,” has always embraced her dual role as “just the mom and the dad” in Oonagh’s life. Now, with baby number two on the way, she’s looking forward to expanding that love and dedication.
The actress has had her share of public battles, most notably her highly publicized defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp in 2022. But since the trial, Amber has shifted her focus to what truly matters: her family and peace of mind.
After the courtroom chaos, Amber relocated to Madrid, Spain, seeking a quieter life. “The trial was beyond stressful, and she wanted to start fresh,” a source told PEOPLE, adding that the actress “has new energy and is focused on things she loves.”
Her decision to move abroad has been a turning point. Director Conor Allyn, who worked with Amber on In the Fire, revealed that she is thriving overseas. According to Conor, Amber is “living her best life in Spain with her daughter and just finding happiness in that way.
In a post-trial interview with NBC News’ Savannah Guthrie in June 2022, Amber shared her relief at finally being able to focus on her role as a mom. “I get to be a mom full time, you know? Where I’m not having to juggle calls with lawyers,” she said.
