And He’s Back! Jamie Foxx Is Seen After Three Months Of Hiatus After An Unknown Sickness
Jamie Foxx is back after being out of the public eye for three months, rumored to be due to being hospitalized. And he looks like he has fully recovered from whatever medical challenge he experienced because he was snapped smiling and in good spirits.
Last Sunday marked Jamie’s first return after being gone since mid-April. He was seen on a boat that was cruising the Chicago River.
The 55-year-old actor, whose real name is Eric Marlon Bishop, was even waving at his fans, and when a boat-full of supporters passed by Jamie’s boat, he showed them the peace sign, much to the delight of the fans.
Recall that last April, Jamie was reportedly rushed to an Atlanta hospital. He was filming the movie, Back in Action with Cameron Diaz, who came out of retirement for the movie.
Corrine, Jamie’s daughter, first shared the news on her social media account and mentioned that her father experienced a medical complication. Other than this, no further details were communicated on the nature of that medical complication. Jamie or his representative were to confirm the news.
Corrine’s post read, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced medical complications yesterday [Tuesday]. Luckily, due to quick action and care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
Concluding the Instagram post, Corrine asked for privacy as their family processed what was happening and showed gratitude for the prayers and support they were receiving.
Further back in May, before Jamie was treated for an illness, there were reports of the Django Unchained actor having a meltdown on the set of their movie. During this episode, Jamie allegedly fired his driver, an executive producer of the movie, and two directors.
One insider revealed that Jamie wanted and demanded the problems be fixed immediately. As part of the solution, he sacked members of the production team. But this didn’t fix the situation or improve the concerns experienced on the set.
The same source claimed, “Some people working on it are totally fed up with how this has played out, and Jamie has become pretty unpopular.”
Mike Tyson revealed that Jamie suffered a stroke, although Jamie’s family did not confirm or deny the boxing legend’s claim.
Last month, Jamie’s co-star John Boyega revealed they are yet to hear from the actor. This was shared during the premiere of They Cloned Tyrone, a Netflix film starring Jamie and John in Florida.
John added earnestly, “I wanted him to show up here, but I know he’s dealing with what he’s dealing with. I just wish him all the best.”
The most recent update came from Porscha Coleman, the actress headlining Jamie’s directorial debut, and according to her, Jamie was doing well and resting. The actress of the upcoming Netflix series Dad, Stop Embarrassing Me assured Jamie’s fans that he’d be back, and indeed, he is.
