Anna Kendrick Jokes About Being A “Lazy Bones” As She Promotes Keurig Coffee
When Anna Kendrick isn’t dazzling on movie sets or jetting off for some glamorous role, she’s indulging in her favorite pastime – cozying up on her couch. The star of A Simple Favor 2 and the upcoming Netflix thriller Woman of the Hour isn’t the least bit bashful about loving to stay home and avoid the kitchen.
Speaking to PEOPLE, she stated, “I’m kind of a homebody. Either I’m out and working or I want to be a homebody.”
“I don’t cook. I don’t know how to. I really just don’t know how to do anything useful in life,” she revealed further.
This year, Anna has been juggling a busy schedule with a new directorial project and promotional tours. Her directorial debut, Woman of the Hour, hits Netflix on October 18, and she’s savoring every moment of downtime before its release. “Just staying put and staying in L.A., and just focusing on releasing the baby is the right thing to do,” she says, referring to the film as “the baby.”
Her homebody nature is well known with her fans, and Anna embraces it with humor. “It’s not a surprise to anybody that I’m kind of a lazy bones, and so just convenience and ease is everything,” she shares.
Which is why her latest gig, as Keurig’s Iced at Home Ambassador,” is a perfect fit. Anna, who has been touting Keurig’s K-Brew+Chill, an iced coffee maker, finds it does perfectly with her laid-back lifestyle. “It’s perfect because it’s so fast and, frankly, I get to stay in my house…I would definitely go out and get coffee or even order it in, so the fact that it’s just kind of foolproof is perfect,” she stated.
From shooting in sun-drenched Capri, Italy, for A Simple Favor 2 to juggling her new title of director, Anna’s 2024 is nothing short of a whirlwind. The sequel places her and co-star Blake Lively amidst a luxurious Italian wedding, so obviously, a mixture of comedy and suspense keeps the excitement level high.
While Anna is proud of her professional accomplishments, she’s loving the quiet moments at home. From cozying up with her new coffee maker to studying up for her next big project, she’s indulging in the moments that make home simple.
