Dalton Gomez is not singer Ariana Grande’s happily ever after. Reports have recently surfaced that the two, who have been married for two years, have decided to end their marriage, with claims that the couple has been separated since January 2023.

Ariana has ditched her engagement ring after their separation and has done a spring-cleaning on her Instagram account, deleting all their loved-up 2021 wedding photos. As the two head towards divorce, sources close to the couple claim they have been having problems for a while now.

But Ariana and Dalton have nothing but mutual respect. Both remained friends; their goal was to stay that way as they moved forward into the following chapters of their lives individually. There was no third party and no resentment between the two. It’s just that the marriage did not work out, and that’s it.

Ariana’s spokesperson confirmed the news about the divorce.

Thirty-year-old Ariana was seen at Wimbledon last weekend and no longer wore her ring. And looking back, the contemporary music artist has been without it for a while now.

An insider revealed that Ariana and Dalton attempted to reconcile and work things out about two months ago, but unfortunately, this failed. Dalton was also reported to have flown to London earlier this year to save their marriage, given that Ariana has been based there for a while because of Wicked, but this, too, failed, according to Page Six.

Last Monday, US Weekly reported, “Ariana and Dalton have been having some issues for months now.”

Recall that in May 2021, the two tied the knot at Ariana’s $6.75 million Montecito property.

Since December 2022, Ariana has been staying in the UK for the musical Wicked. And apparently, the two’s marriage woes began even before she started filming. The actress and the 27-year-old luxury realtor still talk over the phone regularly and are reported to be on good terms as friends.

The distance was one of the alleged reasons why the marriage didn’t work out. The two were speaking with one another at one time; then they were not. So, eventually, divorce emerged as the solution.

Another close source shared with the media outlet that Ariana and Dalton’s marriage was thriving, stating, “Things had been going well for Ariana and Dalton since they married. But unfortunately, they hit a rough patch a few months ago and haven’t recovered.”

Recall that Ariana and Dalton started their relationship in January 2020. Then they shared it with the public via her music video, Stuck With You, a duet song with Justin Bieber.

And then, in a surprising turn of events, five days before Christmas, she announced that they were already engaged. Four months later, in an intimate ceremony with only 20 guests, the couple tied the knot, with Ariana walking by her parents down the aisle. It was a beautiful, intimate wedding.

Earlier this May, Ariana celebrated their second wedding anniversary by posting a throwback picture of their wedding on her Instagram account. She chose one where they were kissing and captioned it with “2” to represent that they’re celebrating two years of being married, and then she added a heart and a “3.5 years together” caption. Ariana also wrote, “I love him so.”
