Blake Lively Gushes Over “Dream Team” During “Another Simple Favor” Premiere

Blake Lively had every reason to celebrate at the New York City premiere of Another Simple Favor — and she made sure to spread the love to the people who made it happen.
The 37-year-old actress lit up the red carpet on April 27, arriving hand-in-hand with husband Ryan Reynolds. Sharing behind-the-scenes moments with her fans on Instagram, Blake couldn’t stop gushing about her costars, director, and friends who turned the long-awaited sequel into what she called a true “dream.”
In one sweet post, the actress praised director Paul Feig and her longtime costar Anna Kendrick. Under a clip of the three smiling and laughing together, she wrote, “@paulfeig @annakendrick47 Really are the dream. And you can see it when you watch the movie. @asimplefavor.”
She also shared a moment with Anna, 39, tagging her in another clip where the two laughed and posed with their arms around each other, adding a simple red heart emoji.
The night was packed with familiar faces. Blake reposted a star-studded video showing her and Ryan, 48, surrounded by close friends Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Hugh Jackman, and Shawn Levy. “I couldn’t love these people more if they were my own blood,” she wrote, clearly soaking in the support on such a big night.
Blake also posed alongside Paul Feig, Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Elizabeth Perkins, Bashir Salahuddin, Michele Morrone, and Alex Newell — the powerhouse cast behind the movie. She captioned it, “The greatest cast in every way. I know how fortunate I am to know and work with each of these incredible people and artists.”
But the celebrations come at a complicated time. Blake and Ryan are currently locked in a messy legal battle with Justin Baldoni, her former director and costar from It Ends with Us. Blake first filed a lawsuit against Justin in December 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment and retaliation. His production company, Wayfarer Studios, was also named in the suit.
Justin has denied the allegations and hit back with a massive countersuit, suing Blake, Ryan, their publicist Leslie Sloane, and Vision PR, Inc. for $400 million, claiming defamation and civil extortion among other charges. A trial has been scheduled for March 2026.
