Blake Lively Makes Chic Red Carpet Appearance After Baby No. 4
Blake Lively is back on the red carpet, looking more beautiful than ever.
The 35-year-old Gossip Girl alum arrived in New York City for Barnard College’s Annual Gala on Monday, April 24. Lively was a picture of spring, looking lovely and vibrant in a floral Carolina Herrera dress.
Off-the-shoulder sleeves and a billowing skirt characterized the stunning midi dress. She layered the dress with a pink and orange trench coat with a neon yellow lining.
Keeping up with the colorful theme, Lively finished the look with Brent Neale drop earrings with colorful gems, an all-over bedazzled Chanel flap bag, and a pair of pink crystal-buckled Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps.
Her signature golden blonde tresses were styled in a curly half-up, half-down ‘do. She donned dramatic lashes, bold blush, and a glossy lip for the glam.
Carolina Gonzalez, who did the actress’ makeup, called her rosy beauty look “Breathtakingly Beautiful” on her Instagram page, while Hairstylist Jennifer Yepez, who did the actress’s hair, called her a “real-life Barbie” on hers.
Blake was present to give awards to three families that “truly exemplify” what it means to be a part of the college’s community, as per Barnard’s official website.
In her speech, Lively talked about her early career days when she had “zero acting jobs” and decided to go back to college.
In her words, “Two weeks after that, the producers of ‘Gossip Girl’ called me like an ex-boyfriend and they said, ‘Listen, will you please do this show? And if you do, we promise you can go to Columbia one day a week — as long as it doesn’t interfere with our seven-day-a-week shooting schedule,’” she recalled.
Continuing, she said, “So needless to say, I think I have to accept that tonight is the closest I’m going to get. So I’m just going to pretend that this is me graduating tonight. So thank you, thank you. I made it.”
This was Lively’s first red carpet appearance after welcoming her fourth child with husband Ryan Reynolds. The couple welcomed the baby in February but have not yet revealed the name or sex of the baby. Also, news of the arrival of the baby broke out when Blake posted a picture of herself without the baby bump—there was no official announcement.
Blake shares three daughters, James, 8, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3, with Ryan. The couple tied the knot in 2012.
In February, talking about the new arrival, a source told US Weekly that the couple “couldn’t be more thrilled” and that the older siblings love interacting with the little one.
“They all want to hold and cuddle the baby,” the insider shared in February. “Blake and Ryan knew this would be quite a transition growing their family to six now, but they’re all adjusting wonderfully. It’s a very happy time for all of them.”
The couple has attended many public events post-baby no. 4 and was even spotted in several NYC outings, including one with Taylor Swift.
