Brad Pitt “Aware And Upset” Over Daughter Shiloh’s Name Change To “Shiloh Jolie”
In a surprising move, Shiloh, the 18-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, recently filed to drop “Pitt” from her last name, aiming to go by “Shiloh Jolie.”
According to a source close to the family, this name change, which occurred on her 18th birthday, May 27, has reportedly left Brad “aware and upset,” adding to the complexity of his relationship with his children.
Brad, currently busy filming an upcoming F1 racing movie in Europe, has been experiencing limited contact with his younger kids due to his hectic schedule. A source disclosed that he “has virtually no contact with the adult kids,” which includes 22-year-old Maddox, 20-year-old Pax, and 19-year-old Zahara.
His interactions with the younger ones, 15-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, have also been reduced recently.
“He has virtually no contact with the adult kids. His engagement with the younger kids is more limited in recent months because of his filming schedule,” the source revealed.
The couple’s custody agreement stipulates that Jolie has primary custody of the children, but Brad retains visitation rights for the minors. “[Angelina] has the kids most of the time, but per their agreement, he has visitation with the younger kids,” the source mentioned.
Shiloh’s name change isn’t an isolated event. The couple’s daughter, Vivienne, also seems to prefer going by “Vivienne Jolie.”
This was confirmed when she was credited as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Playbill for the new musical, The Outsiders, which she helped her mother produce. However, it remains uncertain if Vivienne has made a legal name change as well.
Despite these changes, sources close to Brad emphasize his deep love and commitment to his children. “He’s still happy with Ines [de Ramon],” a source noted, but the distance from his children “pains him.”
Another insider echoed this sentiment, saying, “He still loves all of his kids tremendously. This whole process has been very hard for the whole family.”
Meanwhile Angelina, 48, and Brad, 60, are gradually approaching a divorce settlement after Angelina filed for divorce back in September 2016.
Telling people about the remaining issues left to be resolved in the divorce negotiations, a source close to the couple said, “Both sides are still talking, but it’s not done yet.”
