Britney Believes Soon-To-Be Ex-Husband Was Part of Scheme To Keep Her Under Conservatorship
Britney Spears recently spoke about her suspicions that Sam Asghari, her ex-husband, was secretly working with her father, Jamie. The pop star believes that Sam was feeding information to her dad so she could be kept under the restrictive conservatorship that was imposed on her for the last 13 years.
Earlier last month, Sam filed for divorce. He and the 41-year-old Grammy award singer were married for 13 months. Before their marriage ended, it was smeared with plenty of controversies, like Britney being physically violent with her husband and the many social media rants the hit 90s singer posted.
It’s been revealed that long before the divorce, Britney already had a hunch and plenty of doubts about their relationship. Based on an insider from Britney’s side, the singer grew suspicious of Sam whom she dated for five years before marrying him. She thought he provided all the personal details about her life to her 71-year-old estranged father.
The source revealed that “Britney has reason to believe that Sam was secretly working with her dad Jamie since early on in their relationship. Sam would supply information to Jamie that would help to keep her locked in the conservatorship. In exchange, Sam was given access to her and her money. Britney now feels like Sam was being deceitful all along.”
Recall that Sam and Britney became Instagram official in December 2016. Britney was still under a conservatorship governed by her father during that time. This means Jamie had 100% control over her career, finances, and daily activities.
Britney also had a very small group of friends, usually a few of her dancers and select people who were involved in her career. Since Sam was her love interest in her “Slumber Party” music video, Sam was automatically welcomed into her inner circle. Sam even joined several of the Spears family’s outings and vacations.
Since their relationship began, his acting career has flourished. Before publicizing their romance, he only had one acting role: a cameo in a Fifth Harmony video. After his marriage with the pop star, he landed several dozen movies and even TV shows, the last of which was a role on Paramount’s Special Ops: Lioness alongside Nicole Kidman.
As Sam’s career took a positive turn, his marriage began to collapse. Based on feedback from friends, Britney was already feeling unhappy with her marriage and she started pulling away from their relationship. This took place months before Sam filed for divorce.
Citing “irreconcilable differences,” Sam revealed that he plans on getting financial support from Britney and having her foot his legal bills. Hence, talks about setting Sam up with his own place and providing him with financial support have been ongoing. As their divorce materializes, it’s hoped that these generous provisions will help the two part ways on amicable terms.
So far, Britney’s hunch about Sam’s role in her conservatorship has been met with silence. Her representative, Sam, and her father have yet to respond with official statements.
