Cardi B and Offset Celebrate Son Wave’s 3rd Birthday Amid Divorce With Airplane-Themed Party

Cardi B and Offset recently put their differences aside to throw an unforgettable birthday bash for their youngest son, Wave Set. On August 31, the famous parents, who are in the midst of a divorce, reunited to celebrate Wave’s third birthday with an airplane-themed party that took flight in every sense of the word.

The party was nothing short of spectacular, as Cardi and Offset shared glimpses of the festivities on their Instagram Stories. Cardi kicked things off by posting a sweet video of Wave, born on September 4, 2021, enjoying some outdoor fun with his big sister Kulture, 6. The little boy was shirtless and carefree, soaking in the love from his family. 

“Issa Party. Big Wave 🌊,” Cardi captioned the post, setting the tone for the day.

Cardi, dressed in white and carrying a stylish pink Louis Vuitton bag, later shared a heartwarming video of Wave dancing with his dad, Offset. The father-son duo matched in Timberland boots and jeans, with Offset hyping up his little boy before lifting him into his arms, showing the world that no matter what, family comes first.

The celebration was a true flight of fancy, complete with a massive blue cake designed to look like an airplane, topped with a “Wave Airlines” logo. The party space was decked out with plane displays, posters of “departures,” and plenty of aviation-themed goodies for guests to enjoy.

Guests were treated to an array of delicious food, with the kids enjoying Mr. Beast burgers while the adults feasted on a spread that included meatballs, mashed potatoes, lobster mac and cheese, and ribs, all prepared by chef Franklin Rosario.

Offset, who is also father to sons Jordan, 14, and Kody, 9, and daughter Kalea Marie, 9, from previous relationships, took to his own Instagram Stories to share more behind-the-scenes moments. One clip showed Cardi, who is pregnant with their third child, holding Wave while wearing a cropped t-shirt that highlighted her growing baby bump. Offset affectionately referred to his son as “Rizz God” in the video, playfully encouraging him to “show that rizz.”

As the party continued, Offset gave fans a closer look at the diamond pendant Wave was wearing, proudly joking that his son “got that s— on.” The day was filled with laughter and joy as the kids rode roller coasters and posed for pictures with their dad, capturing memories that will last a lifetime.

The celebration comes amid the couple’s ongoing divorce. Cardi, who filed for divorce on July 31 after six years of marriage, announced her pregnancy just a day later. In a heartfelt message, she expressed gratitude for the love and life that this new chapter has brought her. “With every ending comes a new beginning,” she wrote, adding, “I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!”

“Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do!” she wrote further.
