Cardi B And Offset Might Resolve Their Differences Amidst Public Dispute, Insider Says
In the midst of a heated public feud between popular married rappers Cardi B and Offset, it seems that the couple might be able to work through their issues. Despite the accusations of infidelity between the couple, an insider close to them has assured PEOPLE that they will overcome this hurdle.
“They’re just having a little quarrel,” revealed the insider. “They’re very intense so go back and forth quite a bit. They’ll hash it out like they always do.”
The recent dispute all began when Offset, 31, posted an Instagram Story claiming that Cardi had cheated on him. In the post, which he later deleted, he wrote, “My wife f—ed a N—- on me gang yall n—- know how I come.”
In response to Offset’s accusation, Cardi, 30, took to Twitter Space to express herself, singing part of Keyshia Cole’s I Should Have Cheated. “First of all, let me say, you can’t accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of. Sing it with me, y’all!” she went. “And I see that it is easy for you to blame everything on me. Yes, honey!”
During the conversation, Cardi advised listeners not to pay attention to Offset’s words, calling him a “country man” who was “spiraling” and overthinking. She went on to assert her own identity, saying, “Come on, y’all. I’m f—ing Cardi B n—. I think sometimes motherf—ers forget I’m Cardi B. If I was giving this p—- to anybody, it would be out. I’m not just anybody.”
The I Like It star further explained her situation, stating that she couldn’t have a relationship with an ordinary person because they would share it with the world. She also expressed reluctance to be involved with someone in the music industry, as they tend to be equally vocal about their encounters.
Directly addressing Offset, Cardi said, “Please boy, stop acting stupid. Stop acting stupid. Going crazy over a f—ing Space. Don’t play with me. What the f—. Stop playing. That’s all I’m gonna motherf—ing say.”
The mom of two sang a bit more before stating, “Get the f— out of here, n—-. Like, you can’t be serious. Don’t play, motherf—er. Got me looking f—ing crazy and s— for no reason. Anyways, I’m out. Y’all know what it is.”
This isn’t the first time the couple has faced allegations of infidelity. In January 2018, just two months after Offset proposed to Cardi, videos emerged showing him in bed with multiple women, causing a scandal.
