Cardi B and Offset are hitting the reset button — again. On July 31, Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset, 32, marking a dramatic turn in their turbulent six-year marriage. A representative for Cardi confirmed the news, emphasizing that this split isn’t about cheating rumors but rather a long time coming.
“It’s not based on cheating rumors, but rather has been a long time coming,” the rep stated.
In a twist of events, Cardi B, 31, revealed just hours later that she’s expecting her third child. Taking to Instagram, she shared her excitement with fans, saying, “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!”
The divorce filing comes after Cardi B had hinted at changes in her life earlier this year. In December 2023, she shared on Instagram Live that she was “single for a minute now” and expressed her eagerness for a “new life, a new beginning.” She mentioned her curiosity and excitement for what’s to come.
Cardi had hinted that the marriage was headed for the rocks in December 2023 when she revealed she was single during an Instagram Live session but was confused on how to announce it to the public.
