Cardi B Puts Rumors To Rest: No Stunt, Just New Music!
Cardi B has come forward to address the rumors that her public feud with husband Offset was nothing more than a stunt to promote their new music. The “Money” rapper and the Migos member made headlines a month ago when they argued over cheating allegations online, but they seem to have put that aside for now as they announce their new collaborative single Jealousy.
In response to a fan who wrote, “We said it was a stunt they pulled with their relationship and that’s exactly what is was. Lmfaoo,” the I Like It star wrote, “It wasn’t no STUNT.”
“Tasha K made some ish up and yall was laughing about it and happy ass hell about it. Now that we putting it in the music is a stunt … Naaa baby be mad at the one who started trolling wit it,” she added in an Instagram post.
Responding to a fan who came to her defense, she wrote on Twitter, “THEY C—-IE WAS SO WET WHEN THE LIE WAS GOING AROUND NOW it’s a different narrative when we put it in the music ….OOOO IM POPPIN IT ON THIS SONG !!!!”
Offset released a teaser earlier this week, where he hilariously parodied James Brown’s iconic CNN interview from 1988. In the clip, he cleverly addressed the rumors about drama between him and Cardi B.
Fans on social media immediately began speculating whether the couple’s fight was staged. However, Cardi B quickly responded to one fan’s comment on Instagram, refuting the idea that it was a stunt.
The public dust-up between the couple started when Offset posted an Instagram Story alluding to infidelity. In response, Cardi held a Twitter Space conversation, playfully singing part of Keyshia Cole’s I Should Have Cheated, implying that Offset was guilty of the same accusations.
Despite their intense arguments, the couple made a public appearance together in Paris and celebrated their daughter’s birthday, showing a united front.
Over the years, rumors of Offset’s infidelity have surfaced multiple times, including videos of him with other women in 2018. Cardi even filed for divorce in 2020 amid speculations, but they eventually reconciled.
Now, with Jealousy set for release, fans are eagerly waiting to hear the new music from the power couple. While some may doubt the authenticity of their previous feud, Cardi insists that the drama was genuine and not a marketing stunt.
