Celine Dion’s Music Will Undoubtedly Go On, As A New Song Is Set To Be Released Soon After Four Years
Celine Dion proved that everything needs good timing because, after four years, she will have a new song released. Ironically, this is four months after the My Heart Will Go On singer shared that she was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome.
The new song, Love Again, will be used as the OST of a movie with the same name. This is also 55-year-old Celine’s movie debut as she joins the film’s cast, which also includes Priyanka Chopra and Sam Heughan.
Last Thursday, Celine posted three powerful words, enough to get the attention of Instagram. She wrote, “New Track Alert.”
She followed the eye-catching title with “Available now, Love Again,” the title track from the motion picture. Mark your calendars. On May 5, the movie hits theaters, and on May 12, the full album, featuring five new Celine songs, will be available!”
Priyanka Chopra’s husband, Nick Jonas, also has a cameo role in the film. And during the press release, Celine shared how exciting her experience was being part of the movie.
She gushed, “I had a lot of fun doing this movie. And to have the privilege of appearing with the beautiful and talented actors Priyanka Chopra Jones and Sam Heughan in my first feature film is a gift that I will cherish forever.”
Celine hopes that their movie, which has a feel-good vibe, will be enjoyed by the viewers and that they’ll enjoy the new songs too.
Recall that Celine shared a heartbreaking diagnosis she’s currently battling against last December—a rare neurological disorder named Stiff Person Syndrome. This condition only affects one in a million people, and it causes Celine’s muscles to tense nonstop, leaving her stiff like a human statue. It develops to the point where it locks the body in a rigid and awkward position and can soon leave the person unable to talk or walk.
As of late, there’s no cure yet for Stiff Person Syndrome, but treatments are available to control and slow its progression. Celine admitted that she is doing all the possible interventions to manage better and minimize her symptoms.
During her tearful December 8 confessions, Celine also said that due to her medical condition, she would have to postpone her European tour because her condition is not letting her use and maximize her vocal cords to sing the way she has been known to—powerfully.
She also took the time to assure her friends and followers that she has a great medical team working with her to get better. She also thanked her children for providing her with the help and support she needed in all possible aspects.
And although Celine has been working with a sports medicine therapist to build back her strength, the singer admitted that it’s been a struggle for her to gain the power and endurance to perform again.
Celine has always given her all in all her performances, and that’s just how her standards are, so it pains the singer not to be able to do that.
