Chrissy Teigen Gets Real About PostPartum Struggles After Second Daughter Birth
On January 13th, 2023, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen welcomed their second daughter, Esti Maxine, into the world.
Since giving birth, Chrissy has shared some candid motherhood and postpartum pictures on her social media page. The most recent is an Instagram story of a stain on her shirt inside the car. She captioned the story, “Wonderful.”
On Monday, the famous cook and food blogger, while looking good in a gray fedora, oversized orange knit cardigan, and a pair of tan suede stiletto boots, shared a candid experience of motherhood, talking about how she has to “bandage together” a wound only days after the birth of her second daughter.
She captioned the photo: “omw to bandage together both my wound and 3.8 second clips of Beyonce performing in Dubai until I get a full hbo special.”
Earlier last week, the 37-year-old shared a photo of her first son, Miles Theodore, and first daughter, Luna Simone, holding their newborn sister. In the caption, she mentioned having a C-section birth and having to “still wear diapers.”
“She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens–the house is bustling and our family could not be happier[inserts heart emoji] Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c section!? We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes–we feel it all! X,” the Cravings mogul wrote.
It’s not the first time Chrissy has been real about her motherhood journey or challenges. In October 2020, she shared a video on Instagram about a bitter pregnancy loss. While many people were sympathetic to both her and John over the heartbreaking loss, there were some online reactions about making such private moments public.
Addressing the disapproval in a Medium post, Chrissy wrote: “I cannot express how little I care that you hate the photos. How little I care that it’s something you wouldn’t have done. I lived it, I chose to do it, and more than anything, these photos aren’t for anyone but the people who have lived this or are curious enough to wonder what something like this is like.”
At a private concert earlier this month, her husband, John Legend, joyfully told the crowd that they welcomed “the little baby this morning.” Speaking to People, a source said, “both really wanted to add another baby to the family. It’s been a long road.”
