Chrissy Teigen Reveals Her 8-Year-Old Is Her Harshest Fashion Critic

Chrissy Teigen has a tiny fashion critic at home — her 8-year-old daughter, Luna. During an appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends, Chrissy revealed that Luna always has something to say about her outfits. “Luna doesn’t like anything I wear ever,” the Lip Sync Battle star admitted.
Luna, as it turns out, has a very specific sense of style. “She’s very modest,” Chrissy explained.
“Except, you know how kids nowadays will wear crop tops with big baggy jeans and stuff? She tends to do like masculine stuff, so with me, when I get dressed up, she’s just very … like, if she saw this, she’d be buttoning it up.”
Chrissy joked that if Luna had her way, she’d probably button up all of her outfits.
Chrissy and her husband, John Legend, are parents to four kids — 8-year-old Luna, 6-year-old Miles, 2-year-old Esti, 20-month-old Wren. While life with a big family is full of love, Chrissy has been open about the challenges of making sure all of her kids feel equally cared for.
In August 2023, she told PEOPLE that the hardest part of parenting four kids is making sure the older ones don’t feel left out. “There’s a lot of diaper changing and feeding, and it seems like you’re coddling these two little babies and they’re not getting enough attention,” she said. “I think any parent of multiple kids can understand that you want to make sure they still feel loved.”
But Chrissy’s concerns go beyond just juggling time between her kids. On the debut episode of her Audible podcast, she got emotional while talking to guest Mel Robbins about her fear of passing down her own people-pleasing tendencies. “Really scared of passing this along to my kids. I think that is the big realization for me is, I can’t do this to my kids,” she admitted. “I don’t ever want them to feel like they have to perform for everybody or be good all the time, but I know that sometimes I probably am that way.”
She also confessed that she’s extra conscious about raising down-to-earth children. “I do want them to be the most polite, and I don’t want people to think that they’re just celebrity a—hole kids. And so I might go harder the other direction to make sure that they don’t come off that way,” she said.
