Christina Haack Reveals How Ex-Husband Ant Anstead Shocked Her After Divorce
In a teaser for The Flip Off, Christina opened up about the moment she and Ant finally put their differences aside. It happened in July 2024, right after her split from her third husband, Josh. She had gone to pick up their son, Hudson, for a birthday party when Ant greeted her at the door with open arms.
“We hadn’t hugged in years,” she recalled. Then, he said something that changed everything: “He just said ‘I’m so sorry for everything you’re going through and I’m here for you no matter what you need.’ It was a very nice moment. We had a long talk after and we decided to put all the BS aside and be good co-parents, like Tarek and I, for Hudson,” Christina recalled.
That simple moment was enough to shift their entire relationship. They sat down for a long talk and agreed to move forward as co-parents, just like Christina had done with her first ex-husband, Tarek.
For years, Christina and Ant barely spoke after their 2020 split, which led to a messy custody battle over Hudson. Things finally settled in December 2022, but their dynamic remained distant — until now.
Not long after their reconciliation, Christina made a surprising phone call. She asked Ant if he’d be willing to guest judge on The Flip Off, a new house-flipping competition where she and her team go head-to-head against Tarek and his wife, Heather. Originally, Josh was supposed to be her teammate, but their split changed everything.
When Tarek and Heather found out Ant would be on the show, they were completely shocked. “All of a sudden, they’re besties,” Tarek joked in an interview. Heather admitted they were totally thrown off since, as far as they knew, Christina and Ant weren’t even on speaking terms.
The sudden shift played out in real-time for them. “[Christina] started following [Ant] on Instagram and we were like, ‘What? What’s going on?’ It really was like that for us,” she said at the time. “You see it transpire on TV and we’re so thrown off by the situation. I think we texted her, ‘Why are you following Ant? What’s going on?’” Heather stated.
Christina couldn’t help but laugh about it. “I feel like some of [the judges] that I picked were just to mess with him. It worked,” she admitted.
Fans first started speculating about Ant’s role on the show when Christina joked about him replacing Josh after their breakup. Then, in November 2024, she and Ant were spotted filming together, and a source confirmed he’d be making an appearance — but not as her partner.
Despite their renewed friendship, both Christina and Ant have moved on romantically. She’s currently dating businessman Christopher Larocca, while Ant has been in a nearly four-year relationship with actress Renée Zellweger.
