Common Opens Up About His Views On Marriage And Romance With Jennifer Hudson
In an exclusive interview on Today with Hoda & Jenna, rapper Common shared his thoughts on marriage and his blossoming romance with Jennifer Hudson. The 51-year-old artist made some heartfelt revelations about his future and the work he’s done on himself.
During the interview, Common discussed his new book, And Then We Rise: A Guide to Loving and Taking Care of Yourself, which delves into self-discovery and self-improvement. He revealed that this journey of self-discovery has shed light on the type of relationship he envisions for his future.
“I feel like I have grown, and the work that I’ve done on myself has allowed me to see that I am a marrying type,” Common shared with host Hoda Kotb. When questioned about whether Jennifer could be “the one,” he responded by acknowledging his capability to marry someone. However, he also emphasized that the timing had to be right.
“At some point in my life, I may want to do that,” he stated, adding that he will know when the right time is.
He went on to express his intention to communicate openly with Jennifer about their future, saying, “I would communicate with that person, and if she’s feeling that, then why not?”
The rapper’s appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show was a topic of discussion as well, as he described the experience as fun and honest.
“I felt like, why not just be loving and honest with who I am and who we are. And it felt good, it was fun, we had a good time,” he said of the interview which was scheduled to air on January 22.
