Country Music Star Adam Mac Gets Engaged In Heartwarming Surprise Proposal
Adam Mac, the renowned LGBTQ+ country music sensation, recently received the surprise of his life on his birthday. As reported by PEOPLE magazine, Adam, 34, not only fulfilled his wish for another French bulldog but also got engaged to his partner, Lee Pfund.
The heartwarming proposal unfolded in a memorable way. Adam shared, “My boyfriend was very passionate that we could not have another dog. We already had a French bulldog by the name of Priscilla, but when I saw that there were puppies born from Priscilla’s sister, I knew I wanted one.”
On January 30, Adam’s dream came true when they brought home their new pup, Pearl. Little did he know that this moment would lead to a life-changing event.
Upon returning home, Lee adorned Pearl with a special collar. As Adam turned around, he found Lee on one knee, with Pearl’s collar bearing the words, ‘Will you marry me?’ Overwhelmed with emotion, Adam exclaimed, “Are you for real?” Tears flowed, kisses followed, and the singer found himself in a state of disbelief and joy.
The couple’s journey to this momentous occasion began more than seven years ago when they met at CMA Fest in 2017. Despite Lee’s initial disinterest in country music, a performance by Maren Morris sparked his love for the genre. Their encounter at a bar later that night marked the beginning of their enduring bond.
Reflecting on their relationship, Adam shared, “We’re the weirdest f—ing people. That’s what we love about each other. I feel so lucky to have found someone as weird as I am, because we are just obsessed with each other.”
Their engagement came as a delightful surprise to Adam, who had momentarily dismissed the idea after a recent trip to Mexico. However, Lee’s heartfelt proposal reignited his excitement for their future together.
“Honestly, I was totally fine with just living our happy life. I have given [Pfund] some s— over the past couple of years about how we were never going to get married,” he stated, adding But even when we first started dating, Lee would always say that marriage was not really a thing that he even looked towards or anything, because I think that we just grew up knowing that it was not an option.”
As they embark on planning their summer wedding, the couple intends to exchange vows in Sedona, a cherished location for both of them. They envision an intimate desert ceremony followed by a grand celebration with family and friends back in Nashville.
