Courteney Cox Confirms Prince Harry Crashed at Her Place for Several Days
Courteney Cox clearly recalls how Prince Harry had to spend a couple of days at her home after the royal wrote about consuming hallucinogenic chocolates from her fridge. According to the Duke of Sussex, he took some magic mushrooms at the actor’s place.
The father-of-two shared in his memoir Spare how he hallucinated that a bin was talking to him after consuming the so-called magic mushrooms.
According to the Prince, he was staying at Courteney’s house when he saw mushroom chocolates inside her refrigerator and decided to taste them. Then he washed the sweets down with some tequila.
Courteney remembered the incident, and while talking to Variety, the actress described the royal as a nice person. She also confirmed that he stayed in her place for two to three days. She was also quick to clarify any misconceptions that she has magic mushrooms readily available in her home.
She shared, “I’m not saying there were mushrooms! I wasn’t passing them out.” And when asked about the Prince’s bombshell book, Courteney admitted that she hadn’t read the book, although she had heard about it being entertaining.
Further delving into the details of Prince Harry’s stay at Courteney’s house, the Prince mentioned that it was in 2016 when they visited the US with two of his good mates. One of these buddies was dating a woman who lived there.
After the Prince stayed with his friend Thomas’ girlfriend, the group transferred and found themselves in Courteney’s place, a friend of Thomas’ girlfriend, so that they could have more room.
The Prince’s memoir mentioned, “As a Friends fanatic, the idea of crashing at Monica’s house was highly appealing.” He even explained that when they arrived, the actress was away from home as she was out of town for work.
But then the Friends alum was suddenly home out of nowhere, and people started coming over for a party. And it was during this party that Prince Harry saw the black diamond mushroom chocolates that he decided to sample.
After the so-called magic mushrooms kicked in, the Prince recalled his experience of standing up and returning to the house to use the bathroom. And there it was, beside the toilet, the round silver bin with a foot pedal. The Prince looked at the bin, the bin became a head and looked back at him.
Further into his narration, the Prince continued in his memoir, “I stepped on the pedal, and the head opened its mouth—a huge open grin. I laughed, turned away, and took a p***. Now the loo became a head too. The bowl was its gaping maw, and the seat’s hinges were its piercing silver eyes. It said, Aaah.”
The tales that the Duke openly shared in his memoir were received differently by its readers. Some pointed out that there were some stories, like how he lost his virginity, that would have been better kept off the book.
It was also reported that the royal was disappointed that the book did not have the impact he hoped for, especially regarding the Royal Family.
