Dean McDermott Seen With New Girlfriend Amid Divorce With Tori Spelling

Dean McDermott seems to be moving on from his divorce with Tori Spelling, the daughter of multi-millionaire producer Aaron Spelling. Around this time last year, he was still living with his wife. He and his family lived in a private Hidden Hills enclave with the Kardashians and Jenners as their next-door neighbors.

This year is a different picture altogether. Dean is now divorcing his estranged wife, living in a rental home he shares with other male roommates. 

He was also spotted holding hands with his new girlfriend outside the government welfare office where they were standing in line. According to Page Six, the actor is dating 32-year-old Lily Calo.

So far, details on how they met and how long they have been dating are still unknown. It is also uncertain if the two were friends while Dean was still married to Tori. However, the couple seems ready to go public because they were pictured together at the health and human services organization last week where they were allegedly working on a project with the creative development team. 

Recently, the 56-year-old Canadian actor seems to be struggling financially, prompting him to get government assistance after his separation from Tori last June. The cash-strapped Dean was seen holding a stack of white envelopes at the facility. He was casually dressed in worn-out jeans, a black tee, and biker boots. Meanwhile, Lily wore an army green jumpsuit paired with Converse sneakers.

Based on Lily’s LinkedIn profile, the executive was born in New Jersey and previously lived in Austin, Texas, where she worked as a gallery director and co-founder of Canvas before moving to Los Angeles where she reportedly met Dean. Since September, she has been working with Conscious Community Global. 

In a 2021 interview, she described herself by saying, “I was a shy kid from the East Coast with the humble goal of seeing the entire world and learning about as many other cultures as I could.”

She continued, “I knew one way I could do this would be through the arts, but I felt I was not an artist in any traditional sense. I eventually discovered my art was within writing and that reading ironically brought me out of my shell.”

After Dean’s 18-year marriage to Tori, it looks like he’s ready to join the dating scene since he was spotted with Lily as he applied for government benefits.

Dean announced his split with Tori last June in an Instagram post. Before the divorce, the couple was rumored to be experiencing financial woes. Many suspect that Tori’s spending habits were behind it. When her father died in 2006, he left her with $800,000—a far cry from his estimated $500 million fortune. 

Tori’s mother, Candy Spelling, says her daughter’s spending habits have been a long-time concern for the family. Toris was known for her luxurious shopping sprees, with household bills that used to go up to $100,000. 

According to a source, “There were clothes stuffed into the bathroom with price tags still on them. Besides her shopping, there’s pet care, hospital stays, private schools, you name it. The house was a pit filled with animals like pigs, snakes, and ferrets. It’s white trash central.”
