Dick Van Dyke’s 100th Birthday Bash: Star-Studded Documentary Premiere in Malibu

Hollywood is gearing up for something heartwarming and historic: Dick Van Dyke is turning 100, and Malibu is throwing a two-week, city-wide celebration from November 28 to December 14, 2025.  

The highlight? The world premiere of Dick Van Dyke: A 100th Celebration on December 7. The film, directed by Emmy-winner Steve Boettcher, takes us through Van Dyke’s amazing career with archival footage, interviews, and love letters to his legacy — from peers like Mary Tyler Moore, Carl Reiner, and many more. 

That’s not all. There’s a costume contest judged by none other than Van Dyke’s wife Arlene, screenings of his classic films, and a big community dinner where fans can sign a giant birthday card. It’s sweet, it’s nostalgic, and it’s very much a celebration of his joyful spirit. 

The documentary will also hit select theaters on December 13–14 nationwide via Fathom Entertainment. For longtime fans and newcomers alike, this birthday tribute isn’t just a party — it’s a heartfelt moment to remember a legend in all his dance-stepping, chuckling glory.
