Diddy’s Baby Daughter Utters First Words, Delighting Father and Fans
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs took to social media on Monday morning to share an adorable milestone in his youngest daughter’s life. In a heartwarming video posted on his Instagram Story, the 53-year-old music mogul revealed that his seven-month-old baby girl, Love, had said her first word – “dada.”
Currently enjoying a tropical getaway, Diddy couldn’t contain his excitement as he informed his followers about Love’s newfound vocalization. Expressing his joy, the rap mogul and successful entrepreneur shared that he and Love’s mother, Dana Tran, had placed a friendly bet on whether Love’s first word would be “mama” or “dada.”
“We had a bet! Would it be mama or dada first?” the Coming Home hitmaker wrote.
With the utterance of “dada,” Diddy emerged as the victor in their playful wager.
In another video shared on his Instagram Story, he celebrated his daughter’s achievement by triumphantly pumping his fists, visibly filled with pride and joy. The renowned rapper also posted a clip featuring Love playfully interacting with Tran as the mother-daughter duo had fun. As the proud mother sang the theme song from the popular children’s show Barney, Love amusingly poked at her face while repeatedly calling for her father.
Love, born on October 15 in Newport Beach, California, is Diddy’s seventh child. The rap icon’s first child, Justin, now 29 years old, was born in 1993 to his former partner, Misa Hylton. Diddy then entered a long-lasting on-off relationship with Kimberly Porter, with whom he shares his eldest biological son, Christian, 25. In 1998, Porter gave birth to their first child together. Later, in 2006, she gave birth to twin daughters, D’Lila and Jessie, 16. Additionally, Diddy legally adopted Kimberly’s son Quincy, 31, whom she had from a previous relationship with Al B. Sure!
In 2006, Diddy welcomed another daughter named Chance with Sarah Chapman. Following these relationships, Diddy began dating Dana Tran, whose status as Love’s mother was confirmed by TMZ in December 2022. The performer proudly announced the arrival of his seventh child via Twitter that same month.
The proud father has always emphasized the significance of love on a global scale. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Diddy expressed his belief that love is a mission capable of bringing about transformative change. “Love is a mission. I feel like that’s one of the biggest missions that will actually shift things,” he stated.
