Downcast Tori Spelling Leaves the Hospital in a Wheelchair With a Large Bruise on Her Face
Tori Spelling can’t seem to catch a break. The socialite looked glum, tired, and worse for wear as she left a Los Angeles hospital last August 20. After a four-day confinement, pictures show the former star leaving in a wheelchair with a surprisingly giant bruise on her face. We still do not know the details of her illness.
The actress looked somber as she prepared to go home. Aside from the large bruise on her cheek, she also had another bruise on her left arm. There was also a band-aid on one of her hands, possibly from where the IV was. It’s likely that Tori didn’t have time or even care to put on any makeup while being discharged because she was seen with her bare face.
On her way out, a nurse wheeled the 50-year-old Beverly Hills 90210 alum. The mother-of-five was visibly unsteady and needed support from a friend as she stood from the wheelchair and totteringly went into a car.
On social media, Tori confirmed that she was hospitalized before being sent home. She uploaded a picture of her hand hooked up to an IV and captioned the photo with, “Fourth day here, and I’m missing my kiddos so much.”
She also wrote, “Grateful and so proud of my strong, brave, resilient and kind-to-the-core children who remain positive no matter what comes my way.”
Based on the photo she uploaded, she was first admitted to the hospital last August 17, the same day she was seen filming her mystery project around Los Angeles.
While the reason for her hospital admittance remains unclear, it may have been connected to the mold infestation that Tori previously shared online. According to the socialite, the infestation caused her and her children to become sick for weeks.
Most of the time, exposure to mold only causes mild symptoms. But it can also trigger a severe allergic reaction that includes asthma attacks requiring hospitalization. The symptoms can present themselves quickly or build up and cause a massive response.
Prior to the incident, Tori and her children moved out of their home last May and have been staying in several accommodations. They first stayed in a roadside $100-a-night motel. More recently, the family has settled in an RV.
Tori and her children have been facing tough times lately, with her hospitalization dealing the most recent blow. Her net worth in 2022 was believed to be $1.5 million, plummeting to $250,000 this year. After leaving their home due to mold, she and her long-time husband, Dean McDermott, also separated. Tori has all of their kids with her.
Before being hospitalized, things appeared to be looking up for Tori who was seen going back to work. She was reportedly interested in appearing in another reality TV show after her first docu-series with her husband from 2007 to 2012. Much more recently, the actress was all glammed up and appeared to be filming her comeback show to hopefully address her financial problems from the last few years.
During talks with producers, Tori was informed about the limited options in reality TV given the ongoing strikes of writers and actors. However, she feels that there is a great opportunity coming her way that will allow her to finally tell everyone “her truth.”
