Drake Surprises Fans At 21 Savage’s Toronto Concert
Toronto received an unexpected treat this week when Drake made a surprise appearance at 21 Savage’s American Dream tour stop. The performance took place on Monday, May 27, at the Budweiser Stage, much to the delight of the crowd.
The night was electric as the duo performed hits Knife Talk from Drake’s 2021 album Certified Lover Boy and Rich Flex from their 2022 joint album Her Loss. Fan-captured videos shared on social media show the high-energy performance and the enthusiastic response from the audience.
During the performance, Drake, 37, took a moment to address the crowd. “One last time please, everybody in this city that we love so much, please make some noise for my motherf—in’ brother 21 coming out here killing this s—,” he said.
“You know I love y’all. I’ll see you soon. Give ’em one more. You home, right? It’s your city,” he added.
Drake and 21 Savage, 31, have a history of collaborating. They previously embarked on a co-headlining tour in 2023, where they were joined by openers Sexyy Red, Zack Bia, and Central Cee. Their chemistry on stage has always been a highlight for fans.
Recently, 21 Savage found himself entangled in Drake’s ongoing rap feud with Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick, 36, referenced 21 in his track Not Like Us while responding to Drake’s lines in Family Matters.
Kendrick rapped, “You called Future when you didn’t see the club/ Lil Baby helped you get your lingo up/ 21 gave you false street cred/ Thug made you feel like you a slime in your head/ Quavo said you can be from Northside/ 2 Chainz say you good, but he lied,” Lamar rapped, before calling Drake a “f—in’ colonizer.”
21 Savage is currently on his North American American Dream tour, supporting his third solo studio album that debuted in January. The tour kicked off in Vancouver, British Columbia on May 1 and is set to wrap up in his hometown of Atlanta on June 15.
Joining 21 on tour are special guests JID, Nardo Wick, and 21 Lil Harold, making each concert an event to remember.
