Emily Ratajkowski Reveals She Plans To Have Another Child Alone
After breaking the internet for passionately kissing Harry Styles during a trip to Tokyo, Emily Ratajkowski has revealed that whatever she has with Harry will not last for long. The 31-year-old actress gave the hint during a question-and-answer session with her fans.
In the subscription-only session obtained by Daily Mail, Emily shared her plans to give her son Sylvester a younger sibling when she hit her late 30s. To do that, she intends to freeze her eggs ahead of when she is ready.
A fan had questioned how cool it was to raise a baby without the father, and in response to that, Emily explained the reason behind her plan. “I thought about this a lot – a lot of my friends have gotten their eggs frozen just to buy themselves some more time, do the careers they want, meet the potential partner they want, but also I know a lot of people had IVF because they weren’t able to get pregnant naturally,” she started.
According to the Gone Girl actress, the idea of freezing her eggs never occurred to her until her last visit to a gynecologist, where she heard the words, “Ok, well in about two or three years we’ll be talking about your eggs, you know, being frozen.”
Emily said the gynecologist’s suggestion shocked her at first and seemed strange as her mother naturally got pregnant with her at the age of 38. But eventually, she decided it was a good idea.
“‘I think I definitely would like to have more children – I really love being a mom. I’m not sure I’m going to find somebody that I want to raise a child with. A friend of mine – a very famous friend with many sisters, when I told her I was getting divorced, was like, ‘Don’t worry, like, guys are not deterred by you having a child,” she stated.
“‘And guess what? She was right. I will say there are men who are more respectful of my family, which is me and Sly, and our relationship, and more cognisant of it than others. And that makes a huge difference for me,” she added.
But while the model favors men who are more appreciative of her “life as a mother” and her “time with Sly and how he is Number 1,” she fears that men do not think that deeply.
In her words: “I’m so sorry to say this – men think with their d**ks. And they’re just not that advanced.”
According to her, while a woman would consider a man’s kids before even going on a first date with him, men’s judgment are usually clouded by their sexual desires.
“So they’ll be in love with you and they’ll be like, ‘Oh s**t, she has two kids – guess I’m a stepdad,’” she said.
While the model emphasized the importance of two people raising a child, she is open and comfortable with getting pregnant and giving birth as a single mother. “That doesn’t mean I’m saying that’s the best way to do it or the only way to do it but I very much see that for my future – deciding to do IVF in my late-30s to give Sly a sibling,” she stated.
